I have a 2017 Ram Sport. The head unit is the 8.4. I bought the Ram used. The head unit has the automatic volume control that is supposed to raise the volume with the window down. I drive with the driver side window frequently. The volume has yet to increase automatically. The setting is on 3. Please advise.

The automatic volume goes by the vehicle speed not how far you have the window open.

Tracking. I usually drive 35mph. Is this option meant for highway speeds

The Speed Adjusted Volume system information can be found in the UConnect manual. It works based on vehicle speed vs. cabin noise. Unfortunately they don't tell you what speed(s) the volume increases or how many levels it will increase to.

I have the volume control set on 3 and I hear no change in volume at 35 mph.

Nobody said it works at 35MPH. I doubt that it does.

If I remember correctly, when they first developed the system, it was to adjust the volume up at highway speeds based on the higher noise level caused by the air rushing past the vehicle.
