Never once have i thought the 68-70 Chargers were a good looking car,i always thought the 71-74 Chargers were the best looking Chargers built, and they didn't hold a candle to a 70-74 Cuda ;) :Big Laugh:
My step dad had a 69 Charger when he married my mom, so I have a connection to them. But I totally agree with the 70 - 74 Cuda comment.

I was 16 years old, a bunch of us were racing at a big slot car track, and one of the fellow racers (MUCH older, maybe 35 or so, almost an old man, haha) pulled into the parking lot in a brand new '69 Charger 440 R/T, red, with black vinyl top. I was literally frozen in place; the looks, the sound, it was mesmerizing. He took me for a short spin, and of course I wanted one right away, but I couldn't afford one on the $1.60 per hour I was earning at the gas station.

I have always been a big fan of the 68 Charger R/T. Had a chance to buy a used 68 with a Hemi in late 1971 but passed it up which I have always regretted.

My point exactly, 95% of the folks griping about not having a reg cab, won’t buy one anyways…
P.S. 4th gen > 3rd gen View attachment 585271
LOL, I am glad they brought them back, but never said it looked near as good, that's what I meant by potential. The front end still looks clunky and unrefined in my designer's eye.
They lost the iconic styling they hit that one generation somewhere along the way, the anemic looking 4th gens never even had it. I'm glad they realized the errors of their ways and are trying to correct it. Like I said, if I want more power I'll just rebuild mine and still have a better looking truck.
...now, if they'd only bring back the stylish cross-hair grille and move away from this bulky, chunky bug killer? haha

In the 80's you pick all these cars up for pennies on the dollar, Unfortunately, I was a broke-a s s bartender back then and was chasing something else.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda..... I'm sure we all have played that game. I remember many of the classic muscle cars back then, going for short money. I think I was chasing the same other thing as you though, haha.

I sold a '75 K5 Blazer for $1500. I bought a '71 IHC Scout II for $300. You can't touch a rusted out one with a blown motor and a dead ( :hump: in exchange for $$$ since the word "******" is apparently censored here) melted into the passenger seat for that these days.

I think this was a great idea and long overdue. However, as the OP said, some people may not like that it's not a regular or crew cab. I'm the former, disappointed it doesn't come in a single cab. Otherwise, I might have considered biting the hook and making this my new fun truck. Maybe in 2028??? Everyone start complaining :D Looking forward to seeing one in person.

My 2014 just sqeaks into my garage and all the new Rams are about 4" longer and don't fit. Is it true that the Rumble Bees are 13" shorter overall ? That would actually be perfect for my garage. I wonder how much less backseat room there is compared to my quad cab ?

Contrator shows up at my house yesterday in a beautiful Silverado 170k miles (I like all vehicles btw), said he's already replaced the valve springs on both sides, AC condenser and an ac line that was leaking. No body's immune to failure.

Okay so after taking a closer look it seems like the cab will be the exact same as any other quad cab truck it will just be available with the five and a half foot bed instead of the six and a half foot bed. That is exactly what I am looking for to get into my garage. Take my money lol

Highly doubt the 392 will be MDS deleted,as they only make the 5.7 / 6.4 6 speed Challengers and Hellcats as MDS delete. These are all automatics so i'm guessing only the SRT version with the Hellcats 6.2 will be MDS delete.
It'd be nice if both the 5.7 and 6.4 versions were factory MDS deleted, but i think the odds of that happening are mighty long odds
The 392 isnt the truck motor, its the one from the cars.
