Here's the pics I took while flushing.

Passengers side block drain is really easy to access and it stands out. The driver's side is behind the starter and possibly behind the front diff bracket. Again, wtf FCA engineers.

The pics with the arrows are from each wheel well. You can see the passengers side drain plug from the wheel well but not the driver's. The arrow shows where it's located.

I tested my current coolant mix and my wife's coolant in her 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 16k on it. As you can see the Jeep OAT coolant has clearly turned pink.

When I took the tstat out I used the old tstat gasket to make a temporary seal.

Pic of the heater core hoses at the water pump and then going into the heater core. No bypass valve that I can see on this heater core so it must have coolant flowing through it at all times.

Thought about making a new thread in the diy section but there's quite a few videos on YouTube on how to flush a cooling system, just not Ram/5.7 specific.

Honestly, this was one of the easiest cooling systems to bleed the air out of I've done.

By my chart you are very close to a 50/50 mix. You are somewhere between 7 quarts ( 40/60) but just short of 8 quarts (50/50) as i think the system is somthing like 16 quarts

That chart it great thanks for posting that. I plan on draining a quart out of the radiator and refilling with a quart of concentrate so that should make it 50/50

I agree !!!! Better safe than sorry .
A bit extra Coolant concentrate means better freeze & overheat boiling protection !

I don’t live up north (Thank Goodness)!
I myself attempt to achieve a 40/60 ratio with the coolant in all the family autos.

Our temps here average anywhere from 110°F too -10°F.
Been running this ratio for over 27 yrs (never a issue).

Reason: Water is way more efficient @ Cooling then coolant itself.
Also 40% coolant within a system has shown many times over to protect all the metal within from any type of corrosion or rust.

Plus with the addition of RMI-25 I know all our autos are fully protected year around.

If we lived up north? I would definitely run a 50/50 ratio w/RMI-25.

SyN Disclaimer: This is only my personal experience! I am not recommending this ratio to any one member.
Only that it can be done with 100% success w/Outstanding results in the right conditions.

Every member has their own beliefs & follows their own set of rules & guidelines.

Once spring has shown Her face I will attempt to achieve this with my 6.7L CTD by sucking or draining ALL the coolant from the reservoir & refilling with 8oz RMI-25 & Distilled H2O.
This 40/60 ratio will only benefit the cooling efficiency which I feel is critical during the summer months while towing.

If my old memory serves me right as long as I have every ball floating but 2 on my tester I am good to go. (Might be 3) I will have to check my notes.

According to the RMI-25 representative: With My 40/60 concentration & 16oz RMI-25 I’m protected down to -20°F.

The good thing for you is the Cummins is a I6 motor and should be much easier to drain the block down since there's only one bank. I agree in a warmer climate 40/60 is the way to go, especially on a diesel...

I was going to if there was enough interest in it. There's many videos on YouTube on how to flush a cooling system, Chrisfix has a great one. But it's not Ram/Hemi specific...

When you got the time, I think you should. Gonna be doing my flush before summer hopefully. This remodel is kicking my ass.
