Oh almost forgot! Finally chased down the annoying clunk in my rear end. I inspected everything in the rear suspension. Everything was fine, except my rear passenger lower shock bolt was extremely loose. It was so loose that the shock was rattling around. Not sure why that bolt backed off but torqued it down to spec and so far so good

Since my battery died the other day, I wanted to take the proper steps to try to prevent it from occuring again. I have a spare battery in the bed of my truck hooked to a winch, that charges off the trailer wiring. It was a straight shot, no relay or isolator. I bought a voltage sensitive relay that kicks on at 13.3V and off at 12.8V. Since the trailer harness is constantly powered, this should prevent the battery from sucking down current while the truck is off. Easy 3 wire connection and verified it worked.

I thought about doing something similar. Looks good. What kind of paint did you use?
Duplicolor adhesion promoter, VHT paints and clear. very high temp paint isn't needed, as the engine cover doesn't get heat soaked like an engine block, but I had the black and clear, and wanted the paints to be same formulations, plus VHT makes a HEMI orange.

I shot a satin clear, but might go back with a flat clear, to knock some shine out of it, so it blends in with the rest of the bay

Finally was able to do some testing this week. Since I installed the tuner and downloaded Hemifever tune, nothing but rainy weather. Glad Sean was patient with me, as being computer savvy I am not.IMG_2028.jpegIMG_2029.jpeg

Still a little slow. I realize a 4 door 4x4 Laramie is no speed demon. However either fall or next spring I will add a cam, heads and exhaust. Don’t want to be slow when the twin turbo weed wackers want to red light race.

Had the lower and upper intermediate steering shafts replaced at the dealer @ 10,500 miles on my 2022 already, I’m pretty sure the classics are made from grade B parts! On the bright side that was for a rubbing noise under the dash, they said the coupler on the lower shaft was binding causing irregular wear on the bearing on the upper. What I thought was a alignment issue for the longest time was just the stupid shafts binding!!!
