All day fishing is better than any day at work. I caught a few channel cats and my buddy caught a couple stripers.

Sounds like a good day! I haven't been out to Lake Mead in years.

it's changed a lot over the last few years. Not as low as it was in the fall. The water was up quite a bit in March, but has dropped about 8 feet since the end of March.

Mohave was up in February. Haven't been there since the first weekend in March. We usually launch a canoe off a 4wd road there, south of Nelson. Now we've seen some shad boils at lake mead, we may go there on the next outing if the fishing report improves.

Played with AlfaOBD for the first time and changed tire size to match new tires. Nice. That alone is worth the purchase. What an awesome program. Looking forward to exploring with it more soon.

Otherwise, replaced a noisy right front wheel hub. Thanks to all of those who suffered through and documented the struggles on this site. In the end, a torch and a sledgehammer was what I used. Next weekend im replacing the other one as well as other front end components.

*FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO CHEAP OUT ON A LEVEL/LIFT. I did and I’m paying the price now. Do not cheap out. Do your proper research and spend a bit more on the extra components that are necessary upfront or end up like me and replace them in a few years when they fail and are rusted solid! I definitely learned the hard way.

Bought a 20ft enclosed trailer and while driving it home coming over the top of a hill the lower front bumper kissed a deer out in the middle of the road. Lucky I was only doing about 35mph at the time. Just the lower bumper bent in, no interior damage behind it and am able to drive it since. Guess I'm front bumper shopping now! Unfortunately, Bambi didn't make it for those wondering.

So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
Got my oil changed, usually wait & do on a Sunday, but over my 5k oci & didn't want to wait.

Spent this morning tearing down my front suspension replacing everything on it. Everything came back gf smooth except two lower control arm camber bolts are now on order and coming Tuesday due to they didn’t like being told to come out haha. But I’ll be media blasting and powder coating knuckles while I wait for them bolts to come in.

Did the fourth fill of valvoline restore and protect. Been doing 4k mile oil change intervals. I've gone from about a half quart of oil burned per 1k miles miles to just under a quarter quart per 1k miles. Seems like the restore and protect has slowed the oil consumption by about half

Thank goodness for shop press these I’d say have been in for a 110,000 miles here in pa(salty roads) Needless to say a couple taps or slid hammer was going to do the job. Both sounded like bombs going off when they let loose on the press haha but knuckles will be media blasted then off to powder coating. Hoping new bolts for lower control arms are here Wednesday and can get the truck reassembled and back on the road again.
