B95EF80E-99D5-4382-8C6B-99AC3FF246BC.pngwhat is the proper lug nut for these fifth GEN rims? I have them on my 16 ram. My dealer is useless on telling me what is the correct lug nut for this style rim. Thank you in advance

I recorded this from another forum a while back. I think it's correct but can't say for sure. 7/8”, 60° taper, Acorn Bulge, 2” Long

Resurrecting this thread. Can anyone with the same rims as the OP above tell me what length your OEM lug nuts are? I don't want to go any longer than I need to.

2005 Laramie may have SAE threads

in 2011 Dodge Ram switched over to Metric Thread om the 1500 models

I have not looked at the HD Ram lug nuts

They are 9/16 18, but I was looking for the actual length (height). I'll have to get an aftermarket set. I don't want them any longer than they need to be.

I'm afraid of buying a set using my current rims as a guide and then end up with something too short.

Check your owners' manual in the "WHEEL AND TIRE TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS" section. The 2015 manual for my 3500 and the manual for my 2022 1500 both call for M14x1.5 cone Lug nuts.

Hey Guys, thanks for the responses but you are missing what I'm asking.

I need to know how LONG a factory lug nut is for the style of rim in the original post.

I'm going from 05 rims which use open style lug nuts to 2021 rims which use closed beauty style. I know what the thread size is.

I need to know the stock LENGTH so I can order the correct set before I go to get tires mounted wheels put on the truck. I don't want any problems at Costco, and I'd rather not unmount a wheel if I can help it.

If I were getting them for my 05 rims, I would get 1.5" length. But I don't want that to end up being way too short for the 2021's. I also don't want them to be way too long.

I looked on a Mopar parts site and I couldn't find the detail.

I went ahead and ordered a set of 1.9 inch long. I found posts elsewhere saying they are 2.5 inches, but that would be sticking out even with center cone so that can't be right. The take off set I saw on ebay looked like 1 1/4-1/2 long.
