I am starting to mod my new '14 and I was wondering what the fast N/A guys are doing to get their low 13 sec 1/4 mile times. I currently have the S&B CAI, Magnaflow exhaust, DS inTune with HF 93 tune, deleted clutch fan and 180 TSTAT. I have a QC with the 3.92 rear and 6 speed.

Look for threads and posts from Matt at Moe's Performance. You will see what can be done with bolt on's.

You've got a lot of good mods already! Shouldn't be too ard to you to hit the numbers you want! Like Pull Ya said check out the drag strip threads by Hemi450hp (matt at moes). He has a big mod list with some impressive numbers! Also Jay Greene has a thread on here with his quad cab under 13 seconds! I've linked that thread because it's the same size of truck as yours. (just learned how with the Tapatalk app! )

Thanks guys, I was reading up on his and I know he has the 8 speed and Im not sure how much they differ. I am new to modding 4th gens but not to modding cars. I am really glad to see a group of people pushing these trucks. They really are quick with light mods.

Alot of the guys seem to swear by the Vararam and ported throttle body, though I'm personally skeptical of the TB as I've never seen concrete dyno numbers that prove its worth! long tube headers are worthwhile but pricey and there's also a bit of power in replacing that pinched oem y pipe... Good luck!

Yea I don't see the TB being a big upgrade unless your pushing boost thru it. I can't do long tubes here due to inspections so I guess I'll have to do short tubes and look into the y pipe upgrade

I think his shop truck has either the 5 speed or 6 speed..

All you need is a tq converter and slicks ontop of what you already have to run low 13s

Doc, with you already having 3.92's, I would leave those alone. Your next step is a tq converter and longtube headers.

You will pass inspection here in TX with longtubes. I don't even have cats on either of my trucks with longtubes, and I still pass my inspection. Hemifever will disable the codes for your rear sensors so that they still show active, but do not trigger a check engine light.

That's good to know. I was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso and they do an strict emissions test and a visual check for the cats. I had to redo my lightnings and my Mach 1's exhausts because they were both LT Catless setups. I will give it try and have them shut off the 02 codes in the inTune. worse case I have to go back to stock once a year. I think I'll leave the converter alone I am not too keen on jumping into these tranys I have never been in a mopar one yet.

The emissions check in the computer will pass after Sean is done with the tuning, so there is nothing to worry about there. The visual is usually easy to get around if you are friendly with the shop you are working with. If you strike up some friendly conversation with them, most guys are willing to work with you as long as the computer says everything is clear.

Well i doubt you ever see low 13s unless you get a converter. Longtubes arent gonna do enough for you.

You could also shell out a couple of converters and run stright pipe through them. That would pass the visual and the HF can take care of the computer side.

I am ok with that for right now, I will be doing it in the near future just not yet. Id like to hit 10k miles at least before I get that deep in it. I think ill do the LT's and work with HF on the tune and see were it gets me. If I could see 13.99 or slower with all that then Id be pretty happy.... for now

Best way to get low 13s is to have good air, lol. You can have all the same mods with experienced drivers and you'd still see a full second slower if you raced at my track. There are bolt-on mod guys running mid-12s, I'm running a significant blown setup and still running mid-12s in my QC, I hate my 'local' track that's at 3500ft and averages 1kPa less than the east of the province, add that we can only race Jun-Sept in the summer we have absolutely ****** DA, best I've raced in so far is +3500. I'd love to see what I would run at ATCO.
