Hey guys, I'm getting ready to place an order for a 5th gen ram!
I'm curious, the payloads on the 5th gens are supposed to be better than Gen4.
What's the payload on your truck's door sticker?

Related to that: Anyone with a spring suspension rebel?

I did a vin check on Ram's website
Bighorn, 2019 5.7L non etorque
Max Payload - 1840
Max Towing - 8240

Wondering the door sticker is different. I'll check later.

must be because I ran my vin and it said 1840 but the sticker on the door jam shows 1380..that is the number to go by. ASAIK something like 1840# was what I thought I was getting. one of the reasons I traded was to get more towing capability than what my sierra 1500 had.

My current 4Gen Rebel's doorsticker starts with an "8" and it's 3 digits long. :Stupid Me:
It's pretty loaded though, the only thing it's missing is the sunroof.
I can neither confirm nor deny that the air suspension will definitely load a bit more than that.
Just sucks that it seems to have issues with time and cold weather!

In the next Gen Ram I plan on ordering, I'm taking a hard look at weight adding options for doorsticker reasons.
Between cold weather, weight, and cost, air suspensions on my "off" list, same with the roof.
I don't think I can part with the Ramboxes though! I think those were a 140lb option in the last gen?
Air suspension was like 120?
I'm going to guess a tonneau cover is 40
Step rails, lets say 40.
Every thing you add on the truck will add weight (there's a thread somewhere on here I think talking about it)

I'm just hoping that "please, for the love of god, be higher than 1000lbs."

oh yes I forgot that I weighed mine after I added the full length oem nerf bars. it would be nice if they had a table on their website where you could see the base wt. of the vehicle and then click the wt. of all your options and find a total wt. for the finished vehicle. just subtract that from the promised 7200# and what's left can be your passengers, fuel, and cargo.

Mods, Why was this thread moved to the "Here is where you will find technical write ups on installs and how to's." section by accident?
I'm kinda surprised the truck's payload is not a "general" item?

My door sticker says 1740lbs max. So not that far off. Wonder why yours is that low. That's almost mid size trucks V6 range.

You’ll get a more accurate answer if you post the exact trim level and options you’re looking to order, then have someone with the exact same truck post their numbers. Options add weight towards the GVWR, therefore decreasing the “payload” number. Everybody’s door sticker is going to be different based on their options, so all these posts are pretty much meaningless to you unless it’s someone that has the exact same optioned truck you’re looking to order. For example, a bare bones tradesman will have an extremely higher “payload” number on the door sticker than a fully loaded limited.

dif. must be I have leather, 4x4, off-road, 33 gal. tank, ccsb, 20's. I guess the options add up to a lot of wt. 33 gals. fuel alone is 200#

2024 Rebel 2500 6.4L Hemi. No modifications, Interior group 2. Does not have the leveling airbags.
The Cummins reduces the Load by nearly 1000Lbs so I hear.
