28mpg is possible, but you need the right conditions.

When I go visit my parents in the summer (10 hours drive) if it's nice out I average 28 MPG (9.7L/100km) hand calculated. If the truck is fully loaded (5 ppl, luggage and a 600lbs bike in the back) I get 26 MPG (11L/100km) This is achieved by going 55mph (90kmh) using the cruise and it's pretty much flat all the way.

But now for everyday use, I'm normally going 5-10 over the speed limit and in the summer it's more like 22MPG and in the winter 16MPG.

I'm using 91 ethanol free gas.

This was mine from my last vacation trip. Detroit to Dayton, then to VA Beach then back to Detroit. Lots of hilly terrain there and back. Posted speed limits at all times. 2017 Big Horn Crew Cab 4X4 with Hemi and 3.92 rear.

You might want to hold on to that one, that is rare on the 3.92 truck - almost unicorn status lol

Mine is much less.

I missed the part about you using 91,i'd have to de-tune mine for 91,as it's set up for 94 octane.I've been looking for 93 or 94 ethanol free, but it doesn't seem to be available anymore.Petro Canada used to have 94 ethanol free, but not anymore. If you stumble across 94 ethanol free down east, let me know.If it's available in Montreal,it should also be available out here in Alberta.

I got my best tank ever yesterday, tracked by Fuelly. I take a picture at every fill-up and then enter it into Fuelly.
Fuelly calculated 20.7 MPG over 589 miles, the EVIC shows 22.5 MPG. I could only squeeze in 28.5 gallons so I could have commuted for one more day:eek:

Not too shabby for a Longhorn crew cab 4X4

My 2016 penstar got some great gas mileage,so I purchased a travel trailer and purchased a 2018 bighorn with a 5.7 Hemi.I realized the gas mileage was not going to be great, but I'm getting 14.4 which I'm happy with.

You've all got me beat.. I'm sorry to say..
Bought my used Ram 2011 5.7 Hemi w/91000 in August 2018. I was getting almost 14 mph avg. I always use premium fuel. Recently I added Lucas fuel injector cleaner, now I'm getting less than 10, I'm just sick.
