Who's removed these

Who has removed the 6 black plastic pieces that are on the front fenders going towards the doors, the front of the truck bed and on the rear wheel wells? Guess they are there to prevent rock chips. But I'd think that's a great place for rust to start.

I just take them off once a year to clean out debris then put them back.
Fender skirts.

Rust isn't going to start there any time soon. If rust is an issue where you live, it's going to start in the rear wheel wells and the rockers.
