The highways like to close completely and then detour you for 20 miles But not put any signs up. The bugs are the size of small airplanes and will do a number on your windshield. Also speaking of wind shield I was cut off by a water truck And then had a decent size rock put a dime size chip in my windshield. And my favorite it how dumb the deer are here. 1000pm 3 does *** across the highway. Im doing 70. I lock up the tires Turn hard left almost to grass on the median Slow down to about 30-40 And im like cool She stoped Im goin to miss her. No The dum ***** waits till im ten feet away And took 3 more steps She did this with her face.

Now the fun part Whos cheap for body parts And is this the lower bumper Or bumper cover. And since its plastic How do you think a rattle can job would lookimage.jpg

You need to pull the grille and lights to get the top bolts, everything on both sides then it will pop off.

Hitting a deer sucks. As posted earlier, don't slam on the brakes and swerve. Hit the brakes and hold your line. Glad to see it wasnt worse for you. We just had a neighbor girl roll her truck swerving to avoid a deer. She hit it anyway, was ejected and didn't make it. 19yrs old.

Thanx for all the tips guys....lol If i could do it again and not swerve i woul have put her through the grill. On a positive note I got a new bumper and a fender liner for under $250. But i think im going to paint it myself Ive heard alot of great things about the duplicolor color match. Plus its plastic so it should be forgiving

A bumper cover and rattle can.... Aren't you guys cute!!! :roflsquared:

Just a random internet photo, but the deer tend to be a bit larger here. I don't think that'll buff out...

If you really take your time and put the effort into preping it you can achieve a good smooth coat and the dupli color match is pretty good. I have never painted a entire bumper but I have done eyelids on a caliber that was the brilliant black with the flakes that came out perfect you couldn't tell it wasent factory and I did a buddy's red ram and we didn't prep quite as much but it still looked good from 5 feet you can't tell a difference. White is forgiving just take the time to tack down after each coat primer, primer sealer, base, color sand clear and buff. If if you do it right you can achive really good results.

That being said I would honestly turn it into a body shop I'm pretty particular when it comes to my truck, if it was 10 years old and paid for I would paint it myself just my .02

I know the feeling... This dumb Doe decided to run across the road while I was doing 55... No blood or anything she slid about 20-30 feet... sat there stupid ( rightfully ) and got up and walked then trotted into the woods... Had to get a new steel bumper, new bumper cover, grill, active grill shutters, new head light, and new fender as well as core support... She was a FAT one too. This is before, waiting for new parts and then a picture of her Friday... I get her back tomorrow and can't freakin WAIT.
