Ford announced that they will be realasing a ford f150 shelby. If its true, RAM needs to do a hell cat version of the 1500. Just thinking about it oh man!pic is for reference.

Never happen.

But I am curious to see how many ram-hellcat threads will be started about it.

I'm going for 10....

Someone should make a sticky that says..."YES we all know the unsubstantiated claim of a Hellcat Ram based on a picture of a half build truck that has nothing to actually do with anything Hellcat"

No kidding...

I'm getting tired of these threads. This is like the fourth or fifth one.

Do a search people.

Mostly cause there isn't a current high performance platform already in the Ram, and the one that there was was killed off in 2 years 10 years ago.
If Ram had anything in the SRT-8 Line then I could see a hellcat but since there is nothing and there is nothing produced by ram like the Raptor, and before anyone says it the Rebel is nothing compared to the Raptor as its only a appearance and shock upgrade package.

Until the road is paved and there is a Ram in the SRT-8 line there won't be a hemi. The whole success of the SRT-8 line is what makes it even practical to sell a 707hp anything to where FCA know they will sell and they wont loose money.

Simple business planning is what tells us there isn't going to be one... But with all that said why they are not producing a SRT-8 ram and a production Ram Runner to compete with the success of the Raptor I have no clue and probably why FCA is struggling and wants to merge with GM, the idiots behind the wheel have no clue how to run the business

FCA wants to merge with GM????? :pp:

EDIT:

found it https://consumerist.com/2016/01/11/fiat-chrysler-ceo-forget-about-all-that-gm-merger-talk/

I know that Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM is currently paying for the losses of Fiat in Europe.
Without CDJR Fiat would be dead by now. That's why they talk about consolidation.
With other words- If there would be a chance for a Raptor challenger by RAM, it ain't gonna happen because the money for the project is simply not there because of the situation in Italy.

Exactly, they are in no place for developing a new line and newer stringent EPA regulations etc etc......

Get some new management in and I bet you would see a change and more product that the consumer wants like a SRT Ram line.

Since when does what the consumer wants make any difference? They will continue to make what they think is profitable and we'll keep buying them and saying Thank You, and keep starting these dream threads! There will end up being more of these threads than there will be actual buyers of a Hellcat Ram--but i'll be one of them :naughty:

I was meaning more the SRT line more than the Hellkitty.... And the consumer is what sets what is profitable when the consumer has a backbone and buys what they want vs go somewhere else that does produce what they desire.
But this is also where, why and what the Aftermarket is for to bridge that gap and where alot of manufacturers look to what the common trends are and if they can produce a car that is profitable or can integrate those products into current vehicles.

I don't dream about or really even care if they did a hellcat Ram.. they would only produce 3-4000 units and big whoop... Now introducing the SRT line where they produced 20k would be more practical and more profitable and more practical to what we would buy.

They are only making 500 units of the Shelby starting at $85K , $99K for the 707hp.
How many Ram owners are going to sport that kind of $$$ if they made one?
The price would have to be about the same.

I did a search for Ram Hellcat on Google and found this thread.....

Cant say it wont ever happen, they have had an SRT-10 Ram before.

Will it be called "The RamCat'?
