Depends on what the shop is charging for the pipe, my local places dont jack up prices on stuff like that.

Yeah I don't know. They said it would be about 320 to 330 for the two pipes to be bent, including parts and labor.

WTF?? Is that normal? Seems skyhigh as my bro got his dual exhaust for less than 200. (cheap mufflers)

Yeah I know, that's why I wanna see what Duane is able to offer me...that price doesn't include the muffler...just the pipes and bending them.

I'm probably gonna need to buy at least a couple hangars for the extra pipe too..

Or you know what? If you can send me the piping, I can have the shop bend it as necessary. That is, if you don't think you are getting a bender within the next month or two months..

Maybe that will lessen the price the shop will charge me?

Yes, it would probably save you a lot of money. We won't have a bender before summer, shop has to be built first...

Ok, first, measure how long it is from your muffler to the back of your truck, then add at least 20% for bending/waste. And if you will let me know exactly what muffler you are looking at (there are more than one of the one you stated) then I can get you a price on that too.

Ok, I will go gather the info. The muffler is the Borla XR-1 -- Round shaped.

It's part #40085

Ok, I measured 82 inches (just shy of 7ft) from the out of the muffler to the edge of the back bumper...add 20% to that and it's 98.4 inches....so two pipes around 98 inches in length with a 2.5 inch diameter

mUFFLER $115, 2pcs 7' aluminized pipe $80. Shipping would be about $25 due to the length of the pipe. So you are looking at about $220

How much do you think two 7' pipes of stainless would be? Since I'm saving a solid amount I may as well get the stainless..I'm just curious on the price too, but I would consider the piping and the muffler sold. I just need to call the shop tomorrow and see how much they will charge for bending the pipes. Solid deal.

Eh, I'll just stick with the aluminized, how long do you think that should last, as a ballpark estimate?

One more thing. About the Y-pipe, I noticed it says "MagnaFlow stamped Y-pipes are designed for single-pipe exhaust systems that have dual inlet pipes." Is it ok to use it for dual OUTLET pipes, since I'm going from a single to a dual? Not a dual to a single..

Does the boreal have dual exits? Cuz you could use one going in and one coming out if it doesn't.

No, it's a single in and single out, so I need the Y pipe. I just don't know if the Y pipe is reversible.

Run one going in and one to split it coming out. Or do they make something for that?
