There are a few videos on YouTube of people unlocking fobs with some locksmith type devices. Probably cheaper and easier to just play "does my cheap new fob work" roulette.
Buy them on Amazon, then its free to return.

Bought one from Amazon (Jimmy's link)
Do you have Jimmy's link handy? I remember seeing it but have been scrolling back page by page and haven't found it yet. This thread is so out of hand and the search function kind of sucks it's difficult to find any thing that is buried in here.
.
Thanks.
That one is not the style I have, darn. I know there was a link to the one I have here somewhere (proven to work), I'll keep searching
.
I know this regular fob works: https://www.amazon.com/KeylessOption-Keyless-Entry-Remote-GQ4-53T/dp/B07D919D9Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=KeylessOption+Keyless+Entry+Remote+Car+Key+Fob+Alarm+for+Ram+1500,+2500,+3500+GQ4-53T&qid=1550593945&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmrnullThanks.

I don't know if I got lucky or not on these. The ad listed them as aftermarket but what I received was OEM with the RAM logo on the back. They looked brand new and programed in seconds on the first try. I differentiate OEM from aftermarket fobs by the OEM having the logo and a small phillips screw under the key that holds the case halves together and the aftermarket fobs don't seem to have the screw or logo.

My original does not have any screws holding the halves together. There is a small screw under the key but it is not holding the halves together, it actually faces down, parallel with the blade of the key.

On mine that screw goes into a tab that is part of the other half of the case, so it does hold the two halves together.

So after several tries of force closing Alfa and going through the process again I gave up. This was only on 1 of the 2 OEM fobs I got. I was a little hesitant on trying the other because I wasn't sure it it was something wrong with Alfa. Walked away, came back and tried the 2nd fob and it worked after the second try.I had the same issues programming. Cleared all codes and closed everything, then tried again and it worked. Took a few tries.
Tried hitting unlock, holding on the third press... nothing.
And I can't find Global Down in the app. I tried looking under..
Car model: Ram 1500 (DS/DX)
Function: Driver Door
Control Unit: Front Left Door Module (DDM) MY2010-12 Non-PowerNet
Car model: Ram 1500 (DS/DX)
Function: Passenger Door
Control Unit: Front Right Door Module (DDM) MY2010-12 Non-PowerNet
.. no Global Down option.
And, since I had to use car model Ram 2500 (DJ/DR) to enable my DRLs, I tried the above parameters using the Ram 2500 as well.. still no luck.
Would you happen to know the exact path to what you were referring to?
On mine and my sons 2012, it's the second press, not third. Hit it once, hit and hold the second time.
I'll look at his this weekend with ALfaOBD when he comes over and see if I can get you the correct path, if it exists on our years.
