Completely new compression and rebound shim stacks. Didn’t touch the compression adjuster stack.
When I spoke with the guys over at KING I told them I wanted it softer and the beginning rate of travel, mid rate was already perfect and I needed it to be much stiffer at before full compression. Also needed more rebound resistance.
The issues I was having were that washboard roads wouldn’t really smooth out till above 45ish mph, at about 60 the truck would feel like it was skating across and not tracking properly. Those damn razor ruts were violent and any speed. For the unforeseen big hits such as washouts I was bottoming out to often, can see where I taco’d the washer under the bump stop. On the rebound side there was way to much preload on the spring (from having them cranked to keep my tires from rubbing) and it would pogo up on the rebound cycle from mid to full compression.
This is the mad science they came up with.
