Have a couple of questions I am hoping you all can help me with. I am trying the get my 18 ED tire size updated and I am running into some issues. I have deereguys bypass installed (thanks Deere :) and I am using android tablet with mx Bluetooth.

1. When I get to the step with clearing rolls information I am getting “Failed. Service not supported in Active Diagnostic Session.” This happens every time I get to this step.

2. When it says to clear codes for the ECM what engine do I select for the ED? Is it the Chrysler/3.6,4.6,5.7........

Being GDE Hot Tuned I assume it doesn’t matter since changes are being made to BCM and not the ECM is this correct?

Question for those more savy than myself. I've used Alfa regularly in the passed and had no issues uploading my log to my Google drive.

I had not used the app in a couple months, and recently updated to the latest version since I had some new cha ges to make.

I attempted to upload my log file, but received an error, unable to complete the upload (see screenshot below).

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app allowing access at every prompt. When I went to upload, the Google account was there and I selected it, but still received the same error.

It appears you need to login to Google drive again (possibly through the app).

According to Benny (allmoparParts.com) and the build sheet for a particular truck as listed in the power fold mirror thread those PNs are 'supposed' to be AutoDim... unfortunately we have seen incorrect build sheet info and parts diagrams from FCA before.
I was hoping someone in the forum could confirm that they had 4th gen power folding TOW mirrors with AutoDim first hand (& the PNs)... Nothing yet.

M² Mods.
Unless I missed something in Alfa, these do not dim. I’m going to go back any double check the settings when I get a chance but looks like these PN don’t dim

There's a schematic in the power fold thread you can use to check the mirror pins at the module...
are post here.

Or you can pop the mirror glass out (very carefully) and check for 2 sets of wires attached to the back is the glass (2 wires for heating element & 2 for the dimming). Tow mirror glass is different and u believe there are YouTube videos (motor City mechanic) for blinker/signal light replacement that show how to remove it.

M² Mods.

Does anyone know if positional lights/park lights can be lit with opening door using alphaobd? Some other manufacturers do that, on my Ram the interior lights and the white mirror lights come on, but I feel it would contribute to safety if the park lights would come on as well .... in the past I was thinking of adding a relay which would be energized by the mirror lights and contact points would connect the Park lights

I believe there is a factory settings in the radio settings that might be called "illuminated approach"...that may be what you are looking for.

I know in early 4th gen, the settings menu on the instrument panel has an option you can turn on called illuminated approach, and it turns the headlights and puddle lamps on. I'm not sure about tail lights.

I just got my Alfaobd set up. Was able to change DRL's to the signals, but they are only orange and not working on white with the switchbacks. I also can not see the option to specify led bulbs for signals, license plate lights, etc. in the "Central Gateway Module MY2006-12 Non-Powernet". Is this not available for the '09 to '12?

The bulbs will be Orange with drl activated, and should be white with lights on. Switching back to Orange when turn signals activated

Anyone using the Headlight Revolution LED front parking/turn light bulbs? These https://headlightrevolution.com/2009-2018-dodge-ram-reflector-style-front-led-turn-signal-bulb-kit/.

I have parking and turn set to LED in programming. I get parking light out error when parking lights are on and turn signal is activated. Happens both left and right every time turn signals are activated. It's almost light the parking light drops off briefly (although it does not flicker) when turn signal is activated. I have resistors on the turn signal side. Maybe I need to add them on the parking light side?

Had to install resistors on both parking light and turn signal for these to not throw a light out error even with lights set to LED in the BCM.

You should be able too. I did it on my quad headlights. Try your low beam or high beam and confirm it is working then try your turn signal.

One of those DOH! moments...

My '14 3500 is used for pulling the toy hauler so it doesn't get used much. For the past few months, I've tired a half dozen times to activate the DRLs on it. I have an '18 1500 used for work and a '16 2500 that was traded in on the 3500. Both of those have projector headlights. No issues activating the DRLs on those. Tried again yesterday even with one change at a time and waiting 5 mins between setting changes. Still nothing. On the drive to work this morning, I checked the settings under lights and DRL setting was there unselected. Selected it and voila! Probably was there all along.

I don't recall that DRL selection under lights in settings on the '18 1500 or '16 2500. Anyways, problem solved and FYI for anyone else having that issue.

Lol. It should be there on all the radios but with projector lights it does use a dedicated DRL circuit. Does the 3500 have quads?

Ya, quads on the 3500. I put LEDs in them, headlights and turn signals.

Not sure if this an AlphaOBD issue, but I just noticed my Idle, Driving, and Total Engine Hours are way out of whack. The only thing I've done in the AlphaOBD is activate Power Folding Tow Mirrors and Cargo Bed Lights. Any ideas what could have caused the numbers to change? How do I fix?

I dunno, those numbers seem pretty accurate for the mileage. [emoji23]

Alphaobd shouldn't have changed those without being connected to the instrument cluster. If you know what your hour's were prior you can just set them yourself. Big daddy's house did a instructional video on how to change themya week or so ago.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what the hours were or when this happened. :)
