06 stereo question

Regular base 4 speaker radio. Going to put aftermarket and my understanding is I'll have to wire in harness then run separate wire to keyed cig lighter for off and on power. Just making sure that's correct. Going to get this kit...says it's compatible 06-08 Rams. Just making sure before I order.

Crutchfield has a pre-wiring solution. Get the head unit you want and select the option and it comes plug and play to the original harness.
