Can you load it down with weight now, mine bottoms out if I do so I'm very limited?I think about getting a new rcsb f150 at times, then realize I don't want to spend 40k and start the lowering process all over again. So I added qa1 shocks and took the steps off last week. It's like a new truck
Your truck is still a leaf sprung truck, while his is a 4 link coil sprung truck, big differance. Can you load it down with weight now, mine bottoms out if I do so I'm very limited?
Yes, I know it's not coil-over like his, but it still has shocks all the way around.Your truck is still a leaf sprung truck, while his is a 4 link coil sprung truck, big differance.
Brother, I spent a whole other lifetime with nothing but lowered vehicles for my summer rides and then winter beaters because I stored my low riders off-season (the days when I had more money than brains...lol).Looks great, not many of us lowered truck lovers here though.
In fact, after 10 years of trouble and maintenance free driving, mines about to go up for sale because it is lowered and I couldn't bear to raise it at this point.

Shocks won't change your carrying capacity, unless they have a spring on them. All a shock does is control axle bounce/movement,has nothing to do with what you can load in the box,and not hit the bumpstopsYes, I know it's not coil-over like his, but it still has shocks all the way around.
Didn't know if QA-1's came for my truck or if something like the Belltech Street Performance Lowering Shocks would suffice and be stiff enough?
And a "Truck" ain't a Low_Rider.... unfortunately, Brother!I was afraid of that, she's gotta go, as much as I hate it.
I really need a real truck.
You could add a set of axle airbags to it,air them up when you need more load carrying capicity, air them down for daily driving.I was afraid of that, she's gotta go, as much as I hate it.

I used to haul greasy engines/rearends etc in mine,a trip through the local carwash always cleaned it right up.You could throw a sheet of plastic in the box for hauling dirt. They certainly can be, I love the stance and the way my truck handles, but hard to serve double duty and be both.
I need something I can fill the bed up with lumber, dirt or whatever and this just ain't it. lol

That looks like a nice truck, can I see the rest?I used to haul greasy engines/rearends etc in mine,a trip through the local carwash always cleaned it right up.You could throw a sheet of plastic in the box for hauling dirt.
The 3rd pic is what i used to take with me to the track every week, including my little 1500 watt generator, there's a pair of Drag radials stuffed at the very front of the load.,all i did was air the airbags up to about 30 psi,for the 155 mile trip to the track, air them down for racing, then air them back up for the 155 mile trip home, lol
It would outrun most Hellcats in the 1/8th and if they weren't on the ball on the tree,it would still be ahead of them through the top end of the 1/4 mile. With 3.21 gears it was good for 155mph,with 3.55's it dropped down to 150mph,and i hung around with the local Challenger/Charger car club so it seen alot of runs over 140 mph, just to prove the truck would keep up.It was a bit of a sleeper,as nobody ever expects a Ram to be quick, lol. It started life as a 4X4,but by the time it had a couple thousand miles on it,it'd lost the front diff/cv's and driveshaft, and was basically a 2X4 with a transfer case and a good driveshaft. It had every option you could get on a regular cab in 14,and had more options then 90% of R/T's had in 14.That looks like a nice truck, can I see the rest?
