New to the site.... came looking for some answers about CV Axle problems. Only finding everyone seemed to be stuck at about the point I was .... knowing that stub shafts were shot , eventually realizing the carrier bearings in the driver side were also crapped out. having no part #s for the passenger side stub shaft or the carrier bearings. Not sure how many people have actually Attempted this but I tore mine apart to find bearing #s and rebuild what I could to salvage this one instead of having to buy something straight from mopar
For those others maybe looking for this info and haven't found it yet...
Bearings are Timken KLM503349/klm503311
I've got a few pictures of the progress of it. Even with a slide hammer and rigged up puller.... never could get the bearings loose on the driver side so I got brave with a grinder and a flap wheel until I cut it through enough for the inner race to crack through and was able to pop off. Passenger side I left on because they do t give you enough clearance for the rod to come out of the spider gears so that you can get that bearing off. So I threw on the new bearing cup and use the micrometer and Everton g seemed to match up to Timkens bearing specs.
