2013 4.7 knocking, any help?

The 4.7 is a very simple engine like i said before timing chains and lifters if you want to rule out lifters time consuming but pop the rockers off each cylinder one by one and fire it up each time.

Given the fact you have a lot of experience with this engine, do you think it burned a valve? Or maybe bent one?

My 2012 4.7 sounded like that. The dealership found 2 collapsed lifters at just 60k miles. The extended warranty paid to replace all lifters and timing chain and chain tensioners.

Dealer got it all back together then they heard some piston slap that was covered up by the collapsed lifter.

The warranty company paid to have a used engine put in it.

I wish I could do the work like you did.
