2014 RAM 1500 SPORT "LAMP OUT" NUSAINCE MESSAGE

Hey guys,

I have a 2014 RAM 1500 Sport with stock LED tail lights. I recently got a "LEFT REAR TURN SIGNAL LAMP OUT" message. Checked it and it works just fine (no LEDs out). Here's where it gets weird...i turn the left blinkers on, the front and rear turn signals work perfect but the mirror blinker hyperflashes. Right side works just fine with no error messages.

Tried swapping the tail lights and it doesn't follow.

Side note, I have custom aftermarket RGB halo projector headlights but I have had them installed for almost a year without any issues. No LEDs are out in them.

Help please. TIA

Have you checked your third brake light? It can throw DTC codes for the tail lights if you have a burned out bulb.

The bulb in the taillight can also be loose or water got in it and it causes the error ... I was getting that message constantly a few months ago and I checked the bulb and the little metal prong connector on the bulb that looks like a stapler, each bulb has four, was out of place ... I put it back where it belonged and put the bulb back in and that stopped my error message ... check that on your bulbs see if that is the issue ...

I have replaced the LED bulbs in the 3rs brake light also. I have had it to where one if the LEDs goes out and this message comes up.

Replacing the bulbs didn't help.

Replacing the bulbs didn't help.

It could be that you’re using LEDs in the third brake light. If the setting in the Body Control Module weren’t changed using AlfaOBD or the dealer then that’s probably the problem. Try putting halogen bulbs in the third brake light and see if it goes away.

I need to really dig into the AlphaOBD app on Galaxy Pad, and check it out. I have a reverse bulb lamp out message after going to an LED. The bulbs and lighting work as designed (no hyperflashing or dimming or weirdness) but the message is annoying

You can easily change the setting to LED CHMSL which is the code trucks that came with the Cargo Cam LED third brake light came with. You can pretty much change or enable anything you want. For the price of the App it's a no brainer to have even if you only use it for a couple if changes or diagnostics.

Did you figure this out, mine just started but it's the front left blinker. They work normally but the side mirror hyperflashes.
