Want to waken up the sound, working on a budget thou. So a full system is not in the works.... Yet.... So in the mean time, I see the crazy huge muffed is just in place with clamps.... Now. Here's my question. Is it possible to just get some pipe from Napa (3.5 inch tubing i think it is???) and get it to connect even thou the outlet is offset on the muffler over where it comes in. Or am I forced to get a muffler of some sort from magnaflow or flow master and some pipe to connect it all?

Depends on how much you want to spend right away. If you can find a muffler shop that could give you the correct bend for the offset you could be in it for under a $100. But you may get sick of the straight pipe sound. For around $200 you could pick up a MagnaFlow or Jones exhaust or Flowmaster with the right offset or enough offset and add some pipe.

What is the size of the pipe on these? 3.5"??? I think a muffler isn't crazy much. And just a section of pipe to connect. I'm leaving the resonator on for now.

In the summer/fall once I've worked enough overtime. There is a local guy who has the stuff and does pretty good work that will cut the y pipe. And run 2.5 or 3in pipe back with a set of mufflers (one for each side) and dump each side behind the rear tires out the side with stainless piping for $850 which I think is very reasonable

I found on eBay that jegs has the flow master 40 series on sale for $82 (normal $121) so I clicked buy it now. And I just snagged a 4' section of aluminized pipe for $20, and some clamps. With shipping on the pipe. Permatex exhaust gasket goo. My grand total is $150. I have enough pipe left I could cut out the resonator if I wanted to...

I'm too lazy to go outside in the dark to see how the resonator is on the tail pipe. I have some options either cut and find a place to bend a pipe to fit. Or if I have to get a muffler clamp to clamp the pipe to the frame. Get a 45 or 90 and dump it infront of the axle. Or just go get a turn down and dump it under the bed... Wonder how that would sound.....

Yes 3.5". Some videos on YouTube I watched people took 4" dpf back diesel exhaust and a 4-3.5" reducer adapter and went that route. Not any cheaper than the mufflex DOD250035.

I would have done the mufflex but I can't find anything else if it would work on mine. It says only for 2500 with coil rear suspension. I'm a 3500 with leafs

If you aren't going to order anything for a day or two, once it dries up enough so I can crawl under my truck I'll snap a few pics so you can compare. You can also shoot Matt at Moe's performance a email and see if he knows if it will fit.

I already bought a flow master delta force 40 and some pipe and butt connector clamps. So it should be all good to go. But. After watching YouTube. I'm half tempted to take the pipe to Cole muffler or somewhere and get that stuffed in place and just have the resonator for a "muffler"

The problem you are going to run into is finding a shop that can bend 3.5" pipe. Also depending on where you live expect 1 to 2 years out of alumnized exhaust.

I know. This is a short term "fix". I have plans for a stainless system. Cut after the cats. And run either 2.5 or 3" duals with side dumps behind the axle.

Here's some before and after. 0-60 at half throttle. And 0-100 full throttle. Video does it no justice. Sounds better if you use headphones. For info. I have 3.73 gears and about 400lbs of sand bags in the bed
