I wish Amsoil would have a listed product as I don't like the idea of paying $35 qt for that magic fairy dust fluid, being I still have 4 years or 75K warranty left I have to pay their inflated price for fluid just to be sure I don't ***** my warranty...
$75 and to have half a quart for next time is no biggie. Do it yourself and have peace of mind is money well spent

The bagged fluid makes it soooo much easier to fill. That was one of main reason for going with amsoil.

It's not a trans axle, it is separate from trans, so if you mean axle yes super easy. 75w90 front, 75w140 rear. I think you need 2 quarts upfront 3 quarts in the rear, wont take it all, but it's been a while.
FYI, the 500 page manual for the 2019 Ram 1500 lists 75W85 for the front differential..

Yes, 75w90 is catch all universal except for specialized specs such a as 140. With 75w85 it is just what you value more fuel mileage or metal protection. It's not like your engine that has an oil pump, 4 points visc will give more metal protection in a diff, like 25% more, but you wont get 25% more fuel mileage. Thanks for pointing that out.

Valvoline and SuperTech will properly service your Ram.

Amsoil will also , and provides added service for your wallet if it is too fat.

Yes, my local Vavoline shop quoted me $350 (after 25% military discount) + tax to service front and rear (3.92) differentials and TC . That's a great deal IMO!! Note: They don't carry the TC fluid, so I have to bring that.

It’s only a great deal if they get it right. Front and rear differentials really hard to mess up but you might want to hand them the proper transfer case fluid just to be sure. It should only be 1.5 quarts

I dunno boss, as a dyi diffs are the easiest item, even easier then engine oil. 5 quarts total at about 20 per quart and you are paying 250 for ten minutes of work. Unless they are taking off covers and cleaning, which I kinda doubt.

My shop surprised me and took the covers off at 100K and cleaned out the case and resealed it. At 200K they sucked out the old and pumped in the fresh. They used Valvoline only. They charged $80 labor per axle.

(In the early ‘70s I was a Toyota rear axle technician…but have become lazy in my old age…so I let them to this while they also were servicing the transmission which required dopping the pan to access the filter.)

I thought the $350 for two axles and txfr-case with the customer supplying the TC fluid was “high” … but if the owner was happy… what business is that of mine..? I’m glad he’s satisfied and got the service he considered appropriate.

They seen you coming,as that's the rich guy price considering they only have to remove 3 drain plugs/re-install them and top each off with fluid. You might want to google a couple youtube video's and do it yourself the next time,as they don't come much easier to service the diffs and t-case then the ones on a Ram 1500

It's been a long while since the oil industry self mandated friction modifier in all gear fluids. So the only way to get a gear fluids w/o modifier is to order it specifically. You cant even get m1 gear fluids w/o it already in. The industry has "determined" there was no downside for have modifier in the formula even for open diffs. I don't necessarily agree with that, but they win on that one. the benefit has been most of us never have to worry about chatter because the options are not on the shelf unless you buy off the real HD shelf as in for rigs. The bottom line the only thing a dyir needs to know if you get chatter just add anti slip and ounce at a time til it disappears because too much is bad consequence as well. So thanks for bringing that up so op knows about any possibility of chatter. It is also "possible" the formula doesn't have enough anti slip, so even if it has anti slip in the formula like they all do, it doesn't mean there is enough in there. Every once in a while someone has to add more even with it in.

I like those Valvoline bags, they copied Amsoil, pretty good you don't need a pump OP, think about it. Good oil plus bags make it easy from post above.
I installed a Wavetrac diff in my 350z (helical style) and it specifically requests no friction modifier. Easiest fluid to source was Mobil Delvac 75w-90. The gallons are pretty reasonable on Summit Racing and if you buy 2 or 3 you can get free shipping. I run it in my PW too. I think Castrol Syntrax makes a fluid with no FM too but its more expensive.

Last time I changed my fluid in my previous 1500 though I had to had a bit extra and I believe I used Amsoil that already had FM in it. Got a small amount of chatter in the rear.

FYI, Redline lists this as compatible for 2019 Ram 1500 Limited TC:

To clarify, I have the 48-11 TC. The manual recommends using Mopar fluid for 44-44, 44-45 TCs. I see no reason why the Redline wouldn't be acceptable.

Did you find a listing on the Amsoil site for 2019 TC (44-45)? Because I'm not seeing it for 2019 TC...
Amsoil does not have a fluid recommendation / listing for the BW 44-44 or 44-45, I know as I have that TC in my 2022, 2500 HD, my dealer only wants $35 qt for that magic BW 44-44/45 TC fluid ( $85. qt is big time :favorites68:) being I still have a lot of warranty time & miles I will have to throw the dealer a bone and use there majic TC fluid when mine gets serviced this wednesday...

Well, I watched a few DIY videos and saw the light, LOL. Got 'er did myself. Raising suspension to off road 2 helped. I had 8 extra bolts on 2 skid plates (front dif and TC) to remove. I have the 48-11 TC, so I went with the Redline 70W75. Valvoline 75W90 in front dif, Valvoline 75W140 in rear. 156K miles and all the old fluid looked fine. I can't believe the dealer gets $607 for this. $150 of fluid and about 2 hours of my time start to finish.
