about 84k on the clock
I know the plugs are 100k but I do not wait for any max time change lol
What brand do you use ?
What brand to stay away from ?
On my Chevy HR I heard h many had issues with certain brands and te AC Delco was the brad of choice w/no issues !
So wondering if the Pentastar has issue with certain plugs .
Or just stay OEM .
Thanks

NGK would be my guess, since the Hemi's use the NGK 92145 Laser Iridium (OE, according to RockAuto).

Not sure what part # for the V6, though

I would recommend to use the plug that is specified in the owners manual. Check to make sure it has not been superseded (updated) with your local dealer.

When we were all growing up, we would go to the Auto Parts Store and get:

Champions/AC Delco for GM
Autolite for Ford
Champions for Dodge.

Boy, choices back then was just simple.

Now there are a million choices. Probably get the NGK's for the Pentastar. Just make sure U get the correct ones because U got the copper based, and the Iridiums etc.

I don't think I've heard of any plug or coil issues with pentastars, but that ~7yr/84K mi point seems like a reasonable point to change plugs.

The upper intake manifold has to come off, so this also gives the opportunity to check the oil filter housing for leakage as well and you're most of the way there to get it should you need to.

I thought everybody in the NAVY was issued a small ballpeen hammer when they enlisted to smack the barnacles off of the ships. Maybe, U can just whack it with that hammer?

We actually had a BFH to chip the barnacles off the barge lol
I asked a co-worker to go get the BFH when we were working on a piece of equipment. He asked me what it was. He had a good chuckle when I told him.

I thought everyone knew what a BFH was.

Stick with the oem plug, i believe is an NGK. The price for a cheaper plug is not worth the aggravation you may encounter if there is a problem....besides, if a plug lasts 100,000 k, it is worth every penny for the factory installed type.
That was my thought . For some reason some cars are real fussy about plugs and ? My Chevy Car Has best results with AC Delco and issues with some other brands ! I had that done at 83k , Can not wait till last minute to do it lol same with my RAM. I just wanted to cover all bases :) Thanks

At the dealer the Mopar is 22$ And Oreils the NGK is 18$ each . Rock Auto WOW what a difference about 10$ saving each :O
Yeah, parts mark up is huge. Probably the actual reason none of the shops around me will do repairs with customer supplied parts. Make as much or more on parts than the labour.
