Aftermarket android head unit/canbus question

Voice commands will work via Android AUto and Carplay on those radios. The third party voice commands are much more versatile and accurate.

Is there an onscreen microphone button in Android Auto or CarPlay for you?

I retained my factory backup camera, BUT the quality of the video isn't quite as good as the factory 8.4 screen.

I, too retained the use of my factory backup camera when I upgraded my HU, but also noticed the video quality wasn't as sharp.

I still retained the backup lines for centering and the rear sensors still chime and show distance on the new HU's screen.

OKAY,I see that now.There are only a few instructions and I don't understand them anyway.You did me a favour,thank you.Btw, an issue with the gyro that is on the home page.Seems I only drive uphill.Do you have a way to calibrate that.I had this all installed but the installer has to find out himself.

It's likely that that data is not being communicated on the CANBUS. There are settings that can enable the BCM to send that info, but it requires a tool like AlfaOBD AND the downstream module/sensor that feeds it. It's possible that feature simply won't work on your vehcile too.
