Well I've tried multiple configurations trying to get Aux Switches to show up in CSM or EVIC outlined in these posts, as well as KBG's vid...

AlfaOBD - Config Aux Switched

AlfaOBD - Enable CSM

But after multiple sleep cycles basically spanning the day nothing is showing up. :(.

It's not the end of the world, when I ordered the panel the AlfaODB config options weren't even known at that time, but it would have been nice to be able to configure them that way if needed. The only rub is since my 1 and 2 are not powered by battery as expected, but by key ignition same as 3/4/5, I do loose the always powered for those without having the CSM config option, which is a bit of a bummer.

Otherwise they seem to be working as expected - I'll grab a test light and check each one to make sure though. I did wind up removing the relay box from my "alternate" location since it was so hot, and have stuck it back up near the firewall. Still not hard mounted but I"ll work on that some more this weekend I suppose.

EDIT - test light good on all 5, at least with the key.

I don't think you can. To the best of my knowledge, switchbacks are not a factory option on any RAM truck so there is no setting for them.

I believe its all part of the kit that you install and they should automatically switch for you

What are these switchbacks you guys keep referring to?

At this point in time, I'm glad I have a Bighorn without projectors. My credit cards are already struggling, and that is just too damn cool. I would have to have those, haha.

They are cool, but if you have the quads, you can just get single LEDs bulbs for each function that should be replaced with LED (turn, parking).

Between that and AlfaOBD, Im thinking we can have straight driven (i.e. no resistors, CAN adapters, etc) LED bulbs, with one of them set as DRLs
which should run them at lower light levels until they are activated by the actual lights on the truck.

Or at least thats my theory that I hope to be trying out shortly. Looking at bulbs right now, actually.

What's the process to turn off the low air pressure lights. I have my rf hub pin from the dealer. I just don't know how to turn them off or change the threshold to 0psi. My current wheels don't have the sensors

I was not able to ever get them to show up in either the radio or evic also. But you can go in to alfa and change the properties of the switches. When you hooked up to the truck under the Aux switches there are a number of options for the switches. You can change to momentary or latching also ignition and battery. There are I think HL options but I do not know what they do.

I have actually changed the ignition to battery so I know that works. I would really like them in the radio or EVIC but will take what I can get.

Sorry it didn't work for you guys. Mine are in the base evic under commercial settings. These are the settings that were mentioned above. You can configure everything from there.

Yes they are cool and hopefully it will be an addition to my ram in the near future. The downside is having to take apart the sealed headlights to put them in

Interesting, this will work, I really don't need to make changes on the fly, so as long as I can set them, I will be happy.

Edit - well hell that was easy! Already fixed up, buttons 1 and 2 now power from battery vs ignition :waytogo: Thanks!

Hey everyone, I’m joining this forum just for this thread. Unfortunately my ELM327 that I used for other apps doesn’t seem to be sufficient to run the demo version - I’m waiting for confirmation from the developer before I spend money on another OBD reader. I’m doing it mostly for the TPMS. I reprogrammed it before, but some settings were changed with the trans recall.
I use the same thing and have got functions to work all be it difficult since I think I'm not following the steps. You cant do anything with the demo after 15minutes I believe.

They're not a factory option but they are touted to be on with the drl activated.

I would go back to the place you got them then and ask them which DRL setting they are supposed to activate on (turn signal, low beam, high beam, etc). Best to know what the "expected" behavior is before we go troubleshooting.

If I remember my conversation with Jeremy correctly, after installation in the projectors they would be on with drl in white and when receiving the command for turn signals would cut out and blink amber. This was with his kit but probably the same as DD. I don’t have these installed yet but just remembering what he said.

My understanding of the DRL setting is that it will reduce power and/or current to whatever location you have set. Switchbacks, I believe, will "change" colors based on how much power/current they are receiving, so whatever location you choose in Alfa will be the one that the switchbacks need to be installed into.

Now the only thing I *dont* know is just what levels of power/current trigger the change from amber to white and vice versa. Every how to Ive read about adding switchbacks talks about needing a resistor setup to ensure the change over, but they are also not talking about BCM settings that we now have access to.

Am I correct to understand, that your tires have no sensor's in them? And your low air pressure light still comes on?

I have after market tires on my Ram with no sensors in them, but my low pressure light stays off, but my tire pressure screen came on everytime I started my vehicle and showd the 4 wheels with "-" sign

Yea what shows up on your screen is exactly what I get. But also the yellow/orange tire low sign on my cluster. You don't get that? My wheels have no sensors on them

ok a weird one for you guys. After doing the global down has anyone came out to their truck in the morning with the windows half way down? Keys on the kitchen table all night nobody touched the keys but my windows half way down this morn. Maybe some kind of signal from the mothership that signaled them down?
