Rick...I pasted below pictures of my yellow plug under the driver's seat. I took the pic way back before I did the addition of heated/ventilated seats. Can you tell from these?

First of all I made a mistake and I apologize. The wires I ran to hook to my CAN system were pins #5 and #6. Pins# 2 and #13 are the memory select pins that I ran into the door module. In any case it's hard to tell for sure in the picture you sent but it doesn't appear that you have the correct wiring. Pin#14 is the black wire in your picture. Pin #7 is directly below it and is the Pnk/YL wire. The two slots next to it are the #6 and #5 pin which connect your memory module to your CAN system and they appear to be unpopulated which would tell me your memory seat module is not connected. I also noticed that pins# 2 which is next to the solid red wire and #13 which is next to the black wire are both unpopulated which is your memory select switch feed and return. You should double check pin#5 and #6 to make sure I am right but if I am correct that is your problem. I was telling Ghost_Ram that havent seen a truck that had the factory heated seat wiring that didn't have the memory wiring included but I think I figured out what may be going on. We know that almost all regular cab trucks come with the same wiring because the build so few of them. That being said the highest trim level Regular Cab truck you can get which it the R/T does not have memory seats. That being said I am thinking NO regular can trucks are going to have the memory seat wiring. The reason all of the Crew Cab trucks with heated seats have the memory seat wiring is because it's an option in those trucks. Definitely check pins #5 #6 #2 and #13 in your yellow seat plug to verify but I think that's what is going on.

Actually while I have you :) that lead goes back to a 25a fuse. Can it support seat heating pads for the rear seats? Mine are rated at 4a low, 7a high and I will have two. Not sure if I can just tap into that lead or if I should run directly to battery.

Thanks.

The 25 amp fuse is protecting the wire so if you tap it and your rear heated seats draw too much power then you will burn the fuse. With the factory heated seats they run off 10A for both the rear seats from what I can tell. You will probably draw more than 25 amps with all four seats running. I can check it tomorrow morning with the tool which will tell you how much draw each seat takes.

2870mm for 37s check back to post #2269 I believe. I just used what he got and I'm .5 to 1mph off instead of 5 to 7

Keep in mind 37" tires aren't really 37" just as 35's typically aren't really 35".

Both usually measure about 1/2" short of advertised, ie 34.5 and 36.5. So plugging in 36.5" gets one closer to Grozier's number...

If the 25a is for all 4 seats I might be over because of the rears. Lmk what it reads out but in thinking I'll need to go directly to battery, or only use the seat bottom heat pads in the rear just to cut down the current draw.

EDIT: I though the 10A circuit was to the rear heated seat *switches* only, the power for the heat comes from the heated seat module. I figured the 10A was for illuminating the switches (and power if its necessary for them to talk to the CAN bus)

Rick.....thanks for the info and taking the time to look at my photos. I was suspicious if I had the wires when I was looking closely at them last night. I will check them further to confirm. Just as a side note since I know you keep excellent track of what can or cannot be done on our trucks, mine is a 2500 and the only 2 trim levels for a heavy duty RC is Tradesman and SLT. But the end result is the same in that neither of these trims let you have the heated/ventilated seats or memory from the factory.

Correct. Even though they don't have those options in the 2500 regular cab trucks the heated/ventilated seats were still available in the 1500 and they use the same harness for both. As I stated we are assuming its because the regular cab obviously takes a different harness than the Quad/Crew Cab trucks and they build so few regular cab trucks that it's easier to just have the one harness for all of them. As far as I know the memory seats is not an option on any regular cab so there is no reason for Chrysler to include the wiring in the harness. I have also seen some Tradesman regular cab trucks that have just the basic roll up windows and basically no options at all and they are actually missing the harness all together but they are very uncommon.

Mike, I see that Rick has mentioned to look in your harness connecting below your drivers seat to see if yo have the required wires for the memory function to work.

have a look at the factory harness connecting under my drivers seat, my harness is almost fully populated.

IMG_3198.jpg

this may be why my memory function works after enabling MSM and CSWM modules

I will upload an image shortly showing that the memory recall button on the drivers seat sends signal to:

the driver door module then to
connector star can IHS body and then to the
memory seat module...

As I was saying that's exactly why your memory functions work and ours will not. Your gray plug is almost fully populated as well and several of those pins are for the power and memory pedals. I was able to get the easy exit seat to work by connecting the #5 and #6 pin to the CAN system. I have tried to get the memory seat function to work by connecting to the #2 and #13 pins to the door module but have been unsuccessful. There is obviously wiring that is missing. I could have researched it more and possibly figured it out but I am pretty much the only one who drives my truck so I most likely would never use it. On a positive note he should be able to get the easy exit seat to work if he connects the #5 pin and# 6 pin to the CAN system. He can have M2mods make him the connector. It's important to understand that the memory seats will not function unless your truck is a Quad/Crew cab and came from the factory with the heted/vented seat harness plus the extra wiring for the memory. We had gone through all of this when we figured out the heated/vented seats a long time ago but his truck threw me a bit because it was a regular cab with a different harness than the Quad/Crew trucks.

This is my seats all on high. The wheel is the one that takes the most power. The switches are powered by the same circuit as all the other interior blue lights. The 10 amp circuit is for power of the rear seats.

Either they have really efficient seat heaters, or its no wonder why people think the seats dont heat up very much!

Is that the OBD MX reading from the heated seat module? I dont have the heated seats yet so I wasnt sure if we could get real time data. Nice to see its available. I would be interested to see how those numbers change if you change the material type (leather, perforated leather, cloth)

BTW the reason I thought the 10A was for the switches is because of how F928 (the 10A circuit) goes to the switches, but F922 (the 25A circuit) gets tapped off of if you have rear heated seats. Diagram below. Maybe 2017 is different?

Thanks for clarifying Rick.

Have you come across a schematic which has wire and can connection for the power adjustable pedals?

I have purchased a complete power pedal assembly from ebay 2 months ago for cheap from a 2016 RAM 1500, I thought that for the price, I may as well give it a shot.
After receiving the package, I removed the throttle assembly, disconnected the factory throttle, plugged in the new throttle assembly and it worked 100%
The throttle assembly for the power adjustable pedals is a different part number and manufactured different, its at a different angle.
So I proceeded to remove the factory assembly and install.
Install went very easy, I even found 2 loose bolts above the steering column from the factory (hence, the slightly loose steering column which moved up and down a bit) :(
I installed a new power adjustable pedal switch purchased from the dealership and the power adjustable pedals worked with the switch immediately..
:)

s-l1600 (4).jpg

The switch on the steering column has 4 wires connecting from the harness, power, ground and 2 power out feeds
The switch is simple the power in feeds the power out through the 2 wires to the pedal assembly in both directions depending on switch operation.
It feeds polarity both ways through the 2 wires to drive the motor forward and reverse to move the pedal assembly up or down.

Where my factory vehicle harness connects to the driver (motor) on the pedal assembly, I only have 2 wires (forward or reverse polarity)
The pedal assembly side has 3 wires at the connector, 2 power and one which is black I believe (going by memory from installing a month ago) that is NOT connected

I have downloaded many electrical diagrams for 2013 - 2015 ram 2500, but I cannot find any in particular dedicated to the power adjustable pedals that refer to the memory***

I have played around with setting the following in ALFAOBD with Obdlink MX BT:

1) Adjustable Pedal Motor Relay Output Present: Set/Not set
2) Adjustable Pedals Present (Non-memory): Set/Not Set
3) Adjustable Pedal Feature Present (non-Memory): Set/Not set
4) Memory Adjustable Pedals Present: Set/Not set

The adjustment switch on the steering column still works even if ALL setting are (Not Set)

I am trying to see if I can get the memory function to work with the adjustable pedals...

THE FOLLOWING CAN BE USED TO TEST YOUR SEATS

In ALFAOBD (with Obdlink MX), Connect to the Driver Seat -> Memory Seat Module -> Seat/Steering Column/ and Pedal Adjustment and I have 6 Options to select from:

1) Position Horizontal Adjustment - (moves power seat forward or backward) tested and working
2) Position Vertical Rear - (moves rear of seat up or down) tested and working
3) Position Recliner - (reclines seat down or up) tested and working
4) Position Vertical Front - (moves front of seat up or down) tested and working
5) Pedal Position - (should move adjustable pedals up or down)***
6) Steering Column Position - (unable to test or verify with RAM 2500)

I am looking for a BUS connection near the power pedals to connect to the memory seat module

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Chris...

This is what I used when I was working on it. It shows all the connections. The heated seat module still controls the system and gives the feedback to the can-bus system.

F928 feeds to the switches, but F921 and F922 feed to the heated seat module. The fact that F921 is different "with rear heated seats" made me assume that power for the rear heated seats comes from there.

I have the same diagram as you do, above, but there is no connection from the heated seat switches to the seats or heating pads themselves, so I figured that 10A circuit had nothing to do with actually powering the heat.

BTW, why do my diagrams have useless wire gauges (0.5) whereas yours has actual wire gauge numbers?

Hey Rick.....my 2017 2500 Regular Cab came with the wiring, just bolted in the seats, plugged in the harnesses and made the bcm changes. My Ram originally had the deluxe cloth buckets which is 10 way power only on the driver's side, manual seat on passenger side. But the wiring was all there. I also had factory wiring in place for the ATC mod, just plugged in the temperature sensor and again made the bcm changes. The "no-need" to do wiring was repeated when I added the Smart Beam mirror, the stock one was an Auto Dim / Assist / 911. Just changed out the mirror. So far with the many changes I have made I have been lucky since I have an RC and as you mentioned awhile ago RC's have a chance to have more wiring than not. The only time I was "missing" a wire was when I added the backup camera. I used the harness from Mike Grimm from the tailgate to the connector behind the driver's wheel. That should have been it. But strangely I was missing ONE wire from that connector to the PDC (for power), and that is the only wire that my RC has been missing so far (yes I will jinx myself). So I am keeping my fingers crossed that wiring is there once again.

I have an AE enroute to me that I rented from Tracy on the Cummins forum. I need to set the setting for the "Memory Seat Module (MSM)" which is not the same as the setting "Memory Seat Present ". I have already "set" 5 settings for the memory function, the MSM setting will be the 6th. I will of course post up just what happens. Thanks for your help as well as Ghost_Ram.

Have you by chance also added the heated steering wheel to your RC truck? I am wonder how much of the wiring is there for it too.

Don....yes I added the heated steering wheel too. The "blue" plug was under the wheel when I removed it. While no extra wiring was needed, you do have to change out the clock spring. I believe there is a thread on adding the heated wheel (or is part of the thread of adding the heated/vented seats) that you might want to all check out.

Ram does not have an option for heated seats only from the factory. All heated seat trucks 13 and up have the heated steering wheel. If you look at your drivers side 20 pin gray seat connector pin# 10 GY/LB is your heated steering wheel return and pin # 20 DB/LG is your heated steering wheel feed. If you have these wires you have the correct wiring for the heated wheel.

Hey guys I'm hoping maybe you can help me with this. I installed the single zone ATC from @Mpgrimm2 along with the cabin temp sensor. Using Alfaobd, activated the dual zone ATC, waited 10 mins, then single zone ATC, waited 10 mins. Now it shows the proper 1 temp slider with a temp setting but it won't go into defrost from dash vents or vice versa. If you turn it off and on sometimes it works. Also if you move the temp slider all the way hot to cold it starts working for awhile. I ran the actuator calibration test and it's looking for the second zone temp actuator which isn't there in my truck. It's also pulling an error for that as well. Its almost like it didn't fully take the single zone ATC from the Alfa. Any ideas? Bring it back to single zone MTC and try again?

My truck is a 2013 1500 Bighorn with factory RA3 and 7 position fan control. In Alfa there's 2 separate MY2013 Body Modules to select from so not sure if that makes a difference either...

Thanks for any help!01163b0909852698fe6e7f9913fb6ffa.jpgf2b167bf83e01ab9cb372e0720aaff0d.jpg6431776763801f18302ddc0803137701.jpg

When you activated the dual zone ATC did you make sure that the code was actually the truck and you had the dual zone controls on the screen before you switch to the single zone ATC? I would Flash it back to stock make sure it's on the stock configuration and go through the steps once again and make absolutely certain that the dual zone ATC code is loaded in the truck before you install the single zone ATC.

Yeah I saw the dual temp controls on the screen after I had done the Dual Zone ATC.

I'll put it back to stock and run the process again. Thanks!
