Exactly what does the system change in a circuit when you select a light as LED?
I see, thanks. I have Morimoto fogs and nothing indicated a resistor is needed and I'm wondering if I set these in AlfaOBD to LED if it would be optimal or not.
The resistors were only required on 15+ trucks, something changed in the BCM coding on those models. You should be good to go.I see, thanks. I have Morimoto fogs and nothing indicated a resistor is needed and I'm wondering if I set these in AlfaOBD to LED if it would be optimal or not.
I have the same fogs and saw no reason to change to LED's in Alpha. This is a 2014I see, thanks. I have Morimoto fogs and nothing indicated a resistor is needed and I'm wondering if I set these in AlfaOBD to LED if it would be optimal or not.
Download the app that came with the mx and you can update through that

Apparently the 2014 1500 can handle the morimoto's without issue. I think something changed in 2015Watch these videos.....setting them to LED is beneficial to eliminate PWM

Yeah, It's pretty well known that the bulb-out detection system got a lot pickier with the 2015 RAMs. There's also been some observations that the higher end 7" EVICs (which apparently run the bulb-out system, or at least interpret the BCM's running of it) on all the years are pickier than the 3" EVICs.

What happens if you try to reset the RF Hub using your original PIN for you truck?I just wanted to say “Thanks” to everyone. Several people sent me their BCM config and it is helping me sort everything out.
I've managed to get rid of all the faults and got almost everything working right down to the rear sliding window we put in. So most of the BCM changes have been cleaned up, I don't see the "ecuConfig5" for the heated seats though which gives me a small problem I still have to overcome. However the truck won't start as I think the intrusion prevention system is unhappy due to the BCM:
I tried to change the VIN in the BCM, but Alfa is giving me back an error that says the sequence is out of range.
I also couldn't change the "VIN's must match" (Not the correct wording) setting in the RF Hub either, it too throws an error and cannot proceed. So I think with the BCM change and not being able to switch these two settings is the likely cause of the truck not starting. So we'll have to get it flashed... which is the safest thing to do anyway. We'll see then if I have to use a 2015 BCM (or perhaps newer) rather than using the 2014 BCM in a 2015 truck.
I have also installed the factory power sliding window. There are no modules or relays besides the switch itself. It's a simple five wire system. Ignition on run power, ground, illumination.window + and window -. The switch itself is a reverse polarity. Push it one way it's + - push it the other way it's - +.GordDavey,
When you get time, can you share any and all information on getting rear sliding window working?
I have added one 2 years ago, and did with factory switch and relays, would be nice to do all factory if possible.
Thanks you

The harness is incorporated into the headliner. That is why the dealer cannot give you a part number. I made my own harness. This is a picture of the schematics. It's honestly this simple. When the switch is not being pushed one way or the other no electrical connection is being made. It is a momentary switch. If you have the pigtail connector for the window switch it makes it much easier because we have not been able to find that particular connector. The actual pin# are on the switch itself if you don't have the original connector. I tapped into the overhead console light for my illumination. If you don't have the overhead console you would need to find another source if you wanted the switch to illuminate with your headlights.Rick's Ram,
Do you have part number on harness, parts Dept was no help.
I ran thru relays cause I was afraid of burning up switch. Used ign hot to power relays, and fused battery to feed window.
Old school style
Thanks for the reply

I have been going through this thread, and there appears to be a change and people have been having an issue programming keys. Anyone resolve this issue yet? I do have an email into AlfaODB.
