So new here . I just got a OBD link with ALFA OBD . I have retro fit projector headlights with Morimoto D2s 5.0 , Halo LEDS and Swichtbacks ( diode dynamics ) Morimoto tails and recon 3rd brake . I’ve been getting a “ parking light out “ error that comes up on startup but goes away but still in the stored messages tab . I went in and cleared the errors told the truck I am running LEDS in all the tabs etc . Let the truck sit all night and went to leave with the same error again . I did a error check and it said left park light out . Am I doing anything wrong on the activation of LEDS? I did not change 1 setting then wait 5 min I changed them all one by one but the settings saved . Wanted to ask before I check my connections on the headlight again

Have you tried setting tails as original non led taillights. The morimoto had resistors built in to make them plug and play for non premium trucks. They had all kind of issues on the premium trucks with them turning parts of the lights off due to errors. Got to a point they wouldn't send out for those truck, never heard of they got a fix released. Might want to give it a try.

It’s front left parking error . I can’t remember the code number . It was like BB17 or something but I can check in a bit

The message for the code might indicate if its shorting to ground, shorting to +12v, etc.

And as someone mentioned above, some Morimoto stuff doesnt play nice.

Is it possible to put the original taillights back on and then retry? Im pretty sure I read about issues with taillights more than retrofit headlights. I dont know what their harnesses look like but if you set the truck to LED tails but their harnesses have resistors and/or CAN bus correctors, it might cause an issue.

I don't have LED headlights. That's actually going to be my next video. That and installing switchbacks. I seriously already have the stuff first 6 months worth of videos lined up. I need more darn time! Lol
and I do have LED tail lights but they're retrofit made by spyder. No settings needed to be changed in AlfaOBD for my tail lights.

It sounds like he has a truck that came factory with quads? If so, the light fault sense wires aren’t there, and those settings should already be “none”.
@Dan Montano, is the front left parking light actually out? Did you install ALL the lights all at once?

how long did it take for you guys to get your activation code? I sent email after purchasing software but still have not gotten activation code

When did you send the email? He is not based out of the USA/Canada. He is actually in Europe so if you sent it yesterday. Send it again Incase it got lost in the spam folder.

If you sent it today you will have to wait it out overnight.
