I don't know if it's a year truck or year cluster issue with alfaobd and mileage or hour correction but other's have said that it took a few tries to take. If you could, in the 4th gen diy section I have a thread about mileage and hours correction notes. Could you post your info and results in that thread. The more results could show a possible bug with certain year truck/cluster combos

I literally just mentioned that I have already been In contact with Alexey and him and his partner are working on a solution.

Yes I saw that. But if there are more than one certain year combos that alfaobd has issues with and Alexey only finds one then that only helps a small group, and not everyone. Usually the fixes put out aren't blanket one fix for all or creates issue's for other year's when it's a blanket fix.

I have already sent my logs over to Alexey. That’s why he is working on a fix as I mentioned. Do I need to post them on here so he can see my logs that he already has again?

Not your logs. Check the post out and you'll see what I'm asking if it's not too much trouble. I'm just trying to help others out.

I found the threaded and added my info , looks like most of the ones that worked fine had the 2.1.7.3 version of alpha,, but a couple of us that had the issue have the 2.1.7.7 version which I assume is the newest,, but I did see some with the 2.1.7.7 that worked, so really I have no idea, lol

It's hard to say if the early version worked the best or more people are just using the current version and are now making changes and the same issues were there all along or there is a slight coding changes in the earlier year clusters that prevents alfaobd from making changes. I was one of the first to use the early version and make changes and it worked the first time. It has been a issue when, not all the time, but when Alexey adds something or fixes a issue with certain year truck's that it effects what was working. Key Fob programing was a big one. Not sure if that's a 100% fixed yet. Alfaobd isn't perfect and because it works across just about all of FCA product line's Alexey has his hands full not only with fixes but with request to add new features.

I just tried again, it didn't work,, I also noticed my tpms aren't reading on the new evic, is that because of its age and my truck is a 2017, or do I need to turn a setting on

Since you have a 2014 cluster in a 17 the tpms should read. You could double check tpms settings and make sure everything is correct. You may have to wait until Alexey comes out with a fix or on post 1 there are older versions of alfaobd that you can try and maybe they'll work

I've seen a few guys on here who have been able to turn on their security system using the Alfa OBD but I can't find it anywhere in the list of what we can do on the page 1 of this thread and I have gone through Alfa OBD looking with no success. I've used Alfa to correct my tire size and lower my TPMS but this one escapes me. I know some guys have taken it to the dealer to do it while others have had success with Alfa. I'm just looking for a How To using the Alfa as all my searches have turned up nothing.

Thanks

In the bcm. I don't remember off hand exactly where and if all are near each. If you have your initial log you can compare it to your current to verify that nothing changed. If nothing changed then the tpms reading might not be compatible with your cluster

Is your obdlink up to date? If you download the obdlink app and connect to it you can check for updates

Yeah I just updated the obd2 reader, that didn't help, as for tpms not showing up I briefly looked in body computer and saw these 2 settings, didn't try to change though 137bdf95662f1aa344850818bdd2305b.jpg

Premium should be set, the base is what duallys use. Basically turns off any warnings but allows you to see the pressures. So if you double check your logs and nothing was changed then it sounds like the 2014 cluster isn't compatible with your tpms.

As far as hour's go, it looks like your options are keep trying and hope it eventually takes, wait until Alexey comes out with a fix or try an earlier version.
