hi, I have 2016 Ram 1500 eco diesel with orginal factory installed remote start, now it coming out a Check Engine light on. the error said the PFD need repair, but the shop want to change me $1500 to do it, does anyone know how to bypass this error messenge using Alfaobd software , so I can still remote start truck under cold weather. thanks.

Go into Playstore and click on upper right icon in the screen.
Then click manage apps & devices.
Then click on updates available.
Finally, look for AlfaOBD app to see if an update is available.

Hey guys new to this but I don't know were else to go. I built a welding bed for my RAM 3500 and it was squatting a little low so I went in to change the ride heights and now I'm locked out. Says the air suspension module is in plant mode. I've tried multiple times to clear the DTCs and they will not clear. And I am not able to change any settings. Any help in this department would be greatly appreciated.

Found this forum after being foolish enough to mess with my air suspension yesterday, on my 2014 ram limited with air suspension. Spent hours trying everything. truck was squatting really low. I went into the setting on the vehicle through the screen on the dashboard, put the suspension into alignment mode and it took the new suspension heights after literally trying everything and getting multiple codes. I had the plant mode issue, c156e00 code as well. found the heights with a simple google search. i used the check sensors option on my xtool d7 to get it out of plant mode.

I've got a FOB from my 2016 RAM that isn't recognized by the truck for ignition (lock/unlock works fine). It was intermittent over the last month, and finally died. Changed battery, but still "duff". I've programmed a new FOB via AlfaOBD, so that's great. Thought I'd try and re-program the "duff" one, but it looks like it isn't being recognized when starting the "program FOBiK baselink" routine.

Now, should it be possible to re-program a FOB that was previously used, or is the thing just "toast"?

Not sure if this has been said but if you want to emulate what a pedal commander does change two settings in AlfaOBD:

ECUConfig14 /Acceleration Threshold: Filter Off

ECUConfig14 /Acceleration Factor: Filter Off

This made a huge difference in my throttle response. I've seen a few people debating whether it actually does anything but I can confirm that if you set it to those settings you will feel a difference in throttle.

Acceleration Threshold: Filter Off

Acceleration Factor: Filter Off

This made a huge difference in my throttle response. I've seen a few people debating whether it actually does anything but I can confirm that if you set it to those settings you will feel a difference in throttle.

Where do I find this in AlfaOBD to check if it is on or off?

Placebo effect. Those settings can’t possibly change the sensitivity of the throttle pedal (controlled by PCM, not BCM).
ECUConfig 14 deals strictly with the BCM configuration for the occupant restraint control module (it’s gyro and accelerometer, etc).

I can 100% tell you it is not a placebo there was a noticeable change in my throttle response. There used to be a slow ramp regardless of pedal position. Now it's much more responsive. There is also a setting in there that deals with brake smoothing and steering smoothing under the same Configuration. That effects the brake and steering wheel as well.

Just out of curiosity, why would the voltage for the DRL's be an individual adjustment for left/right DRL's? I wound mine up from the default 7.4v to 9.4v on each side. 7.4v was pretty dim, as in, what's the point? Might crank it up more if needed.

Also, obdlink EX interface, the USB version, works well with my newest Chromebook, which doesn't like playing the BT game at all. It would connect, then disconnect immediately, regardless of what I attempted. I think it has something to do with the "low energy" BT standard.

Through the module they are seperate circuits. Many vehicles (European) have always been seperate circuits since the 80s. If there is an issue on say the left circuit, the right-side will still be powered instead of losing them both. Because of that there are left and right adjustments.

Potentially, but they just may not be there in that truck. I would try things like looking up factor or smoothing. Brake smoothing is in the same category so if you find that you may find acceleration

EDIT: Just looked through the 2013 BCM module and it doesn't appear functionality is there for that.

Have read some conflicting information. Need to enable power folding mirrors on a 2023 1500 classic warlock. Going with an OBDLink MX+ and would prefer to use AlfaOBD and although their support page seems to indicate Alfa will work with a Windows 10 PC, I just wanted to make sure before I commit.

Anyone here using Alfa and MX+ with a Windows 10 laptop?
