Email the file to yourself and open the file using Microsoft Outlook. It reads the file just fine. Don't ask me why, I just know it works. (It shows it as opening within Outlook using Notepad)

Sorry but I just saw your response I tried attaching the file to an outlook email and sending it to myself. The file opened with Notepad and the same gibberish ?
I tried outlook 2019 and the "new" outlook with the same results. I also tried cutting and pasting a portion of it to see if that would work. NADA. I'll attach the file and see if you can do anything with it. I'll send you a message as well.

That doesn't work. Go into alphaobd, then email info log from within alpha. It will give you a list of logs to create and email. Pick Body Chrysler and email that. Should now open within outlook. I just tried it now and it works fine. Not even attached to the car, it just emails last one in history.

Well, I tried it on my Samsung S20 Andriod using their Email app and it opens in that fine too. You can then copy and paste it to a word document.

Also, if you pick upload to Google Drive and then upload the files you want to Google Drive they will open inside of that too.

Connect to your bcm.
Click faults/status tab.
Click read system ID.
Let the list FULLY populate.
Click view log.
Top left of log, click save as.
Name it and save it on your desktop.
Upload that file on your desktop to google drive.

Thanks to all. I have the current configuration in a readable format
I assume all will be well as the only changes were to LED headlights and saving the configuration. I haven't driven it yet but will be soon. I recently purchased the truck and go over any used vehicle thoroughly before I trust it
Would be nice to be able to convert the original gibberish to something readable but i'll settle for what have.

Also do you know were in Alfa OBD the setting for high idle is located?

Hey, did you ever figure this out? I'm currently doing some research and found out that Ram doesn't offer the clutch kit anymore, also the ECM plugs changed in 2013 (my year Ram of course) and if I was to ground out pin #22 that would potentially burn up my ECM. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

AlfaOBD can not make changes to the ECM or idle settings. You require a tune to make those adjustments.

I have also contacted my tuner and they informed me that they cannot do anything with it at all. So then I called a few other tuning places and they told me the same thing, only one place said they can program it in the EFI live switch but I just want it to work like the factory with the cruise control.

Many of us would love a simple plug and play solution to tweak a few settings on the ECM but there's nothing so magical available on this planet, so far.

If money is no object, buy a spare ECM, send it to your tuner to customize it to your liking, and install it, keeping your original ECM as a backup or if you choose to sell.

The customized ECM would be relatively plug and play but would require a final tweaks after installation.

Others have used this practice successfully to aquire a tuned truck.

Where do I find the "steering angle sensor calibration/reset" spot within Alfaobd?

I had to change out my clock spring and I need to reset the SAS so my traction control will turn off and my cruise control will work again.

Well I just installed the trailer brake controll that I bought 3-4 years ago when I got my 19 Laramie 1500. The install went fairly well for a 70+year old to get down on the floor for the bracket could have gone better.

How in the heck do you release the little plugs on the back of the radio (i'm assuming antenna) I could not get my fat fingers in there to release them. Ended up leaving them connected and working around them.

Then to install the can bus bypass had me scratching my head, all the pictures I could find only had one green and one white bus, mine had two green busses and one white.

It worked when I fired up the MX+ and ALPHAOBD I could find the changes I needed to make, made all 4 changes, shut down and disconnected. Put away tools and such waiting 10 minutes, started the truck back up and all the pages were there that should have been. And the volt meter showed a smoothly increasing voltage as the brake pedal was pressed.

Supposed to go pick up my new trailer Monday, a 22 ft. power tilt deckover, aluminum.

If you're talking about the mirrors then I dont think so. I added power folding mirrors to mine and everything works perfectly, except no option to power fold when ignition is turned off. If someone knows a way I'd like to know too. Although I do not like to fold them constantly as it will wear the motor prematurely. I fold mine when I'm in a tighter parking spot and that's it. If you have a taper from z automotive it will perform the autofold,but you have to leave it plugged into your obd2 port. I have one,but like I said i worried about the motors wearing.

I haven't tested these settings yet but they look promising. It does appear that you may require a fold stow module (FSM) though.

Hello, I want to try to make the mirrors auto folding when I switch the RAM on and off. The switch in the door is just a puls switch so it sends just one signal for opening and closing. I have found a schematic for the module in the door that controls the mirror motor but not for the switch...
