I was about an inch away from buying a new 2019 1500. The payment was going to be the same, but I was going to have to step down from a Laramie Ecodiesel to a Tradesman with no features and a V6. Nope. Love my truck now too much to do it. It was tempting though

I agree no way in Hell I would give up my cooled seats, tip start and all the other Laramie goodies for a lot lower trim model just because its new. I think you made a good decision!

Up north here, it's the heated steering wheel, heated seats, the 5.7 hemi, the . . . well, you get the picture. I don't think I'd want to be without them, either. BTW, I heard an Ecodiesel idling in the lot while a salesman was showing it. Wow, that sounded sweet.

Smart move especially because you want to wait for FCA to work the kinks out of the new model before jumping in.

The older you get the more you will love all the options the Laramie offers. I would never by a truck that was a step down in comfort from what I have now. Love this truck. Never wanted a truck like everyone else.... blacked out, lifted so high you need a ladder to get in, wheels and tires that stick three inches out of the wheel wells. For those guys I say you have some great looking trucks just not for me.

Instead I'm going for a refinance. Looks like I'm going to save almost $200 a month! That's better than a new truck!!!!

I like basic trucks, wish I had a rubber floor, but some electronics I like to have. I don’t care for leather, I keep my trucks for a long time and leather wears quicker. I had a 17 Bighorn package 2 for 3 months (only drove it total of 40 days) and things like park sensors bugged the crap out of me. So in the new one got the package 1 and adding back things I want. I hate you can’t truly spec vehicles anymore. Everything is grouped together and cancels out.

But I would not drop to a Tradesman unless it was for fleet.
