Any Muffler Recommendations?

I need a cheap muffler for my 2017 V6 Pentastar RAM 1500, I had an exhaust shop do a mid muffler delete and I sold the stock muffler 6 months ago. Can I just have a shop like Meineke or Pep Boys throw on and weld in a basic muffler to quiet the noise? How do these Pentastar V6 engines like generic mufflers? I just want it to sound quiet like stock for as cheap as possible.

Give the guys at Mesa Muffler a call, they will hook you up. Just tell the old guy you're a friend of one of the guys at Service King.

I don't think any of the chain places you list will do anything other than exhaust parts that match OEM specs and it will likely be cheap, but NOT low cost if you know what I mean..

Like said above, find a good independent shop that's willing to do exhaust work and ask them.

Most muffler shops will have an aftermarket muffler on their shelves that can meet your needs. I'd think the ones that can make your truck quiet will be bigger than your typical aftermarket ones that make noise.

You can buy an aftermarket OE replacement muffler for around $100 (look at RockAuto or any other auto parts store). You can also buy all types of universal fit quiet mufflers (factory sound) for $30-$40. Not sure if your current muffler setup was a bolt in swap or not, so I guess it depends on whether you need to take it to a shop or not.
