I'm okay with those being midbass since I'm assuming the Infinity speakers in the doors now are considered midbass as well. I have to assume the CVT's will out perform those with better amperage pushing them. Is that a fair statement? As I said before I'm hardly in the truck except back and fourth to work and that's all of a 15 min drive each day so I'm not looking to rock any elaborate sound system. However I am interested in getting a little better than stock to go along with my new head unit. Also I'm interested in knowing about sound deadening the doors for two reason. 1. I hope it would help with the sound system but two I would like to reduce the road noise I hear now through the truck. I might need to replace some weather stripping as well but would a sound damper material help with road noise? if Yes what would you recommend?

Yes, a sound deadner will help even if your not an audiophile. It will really quiten down the exterior ambient noise.
The CVT will work, and will sound better, but for me, I like a strong midrange and high, so I would look at the Kicker KS652, which is a 6.5", crossover, and a 25mm tweeter you can mount coax, or seperate like pic posted before.
