I did the same thing (in a different spot) but you get the firearm close and man, that baby snaps right onto it. Gotta keep your fingers out of the way or they get pinched lol. The double sided tape was pretty worthless, for me anyway. The first time I pulled the gun off the magnet, the magnet came with it. I had to use the screw-n-glue method....
Yes sir. 4 screws in each magnet. Learned my lesson re: neodinium magnets when I laughed about the WARNING! label and what I thought was a silly amount of material separating them years ago. hahaha.....SNAP!.....OWWWWWW! Dammit! Then the "Wife Laugh" and reminder all day long. "Oh, my big, toughguy husband got his wittle finger bit by a wittle baby magnet". I then did it AGAIN! She was rolling. All day. She's lucky I like her.
Back on track here, these worked out so well, I am ordering more. I came up with like 8 different places I want them, lol.
They work best on Glocks and steel 1911's.
Just because I'm paranoid don't mean they aint after me.
