Yes that's what the i3 is. It's about as big as a cell phone. You download info from original pcm. Then you put your new pcm in and the hook it up and program and the fun begins. Lol the tuner plugs inthe OBD2 port. And make sure you keep the I3 updated. Then when you get it programmed unplug the tuner. How much does the andriod one cost and how do you bypass the security module
Maybe I can't see the forest for the trees. I had a Diablosport T1000 and a Hemifever tune with an unlocked PCM on my '15. The process, as I recall was:
- Connect tuner (device) to OBD2 port.
- Download current (factory) tune.
- Connect tuner to PC
- Transfer stock tune to PC
- Email stock tune to Tuner (person/company, not device).
- Receive modified tune from Tuner (person/company, not device) via email.
- Copy Tune to tuner (device)
- Connect tuner (device) to OBD2 port.
- Upload tune to truck.
