So the new deal went down today. The fix for the black Laramie was going to top $8k so they said come pick out another truck. Found another one very similarly equipped....2016 Sport CC 4x4. No engine noises, 8 speed trans [yeah that dial shifter will take some getting used to], 3.92 LSD rear axle, trailer brake control, active air suspension, leather, UC 8.4 w/9 speaker Alpine system, LED bed lights, factory bedliner and very little exterior chrome.
This one is True Blue Pearlcoat with black interior. Also has what is listed as Active Grille Shutters.... Enlighten me on that one somebody.
Drives like glass on dead still water and feels much better than the last truck although I will say the 8 speed trans shifts a LOT! Got a 72,000 mile warranty on the entire truck, even all the electronics in the deal.
Mobile once more after a week of riding with my business partner! The dealership handled the whole thing nicely....coulda happened a bit faster of course, but in the grand scheme, I got the truck I wanted without adding cash to the deal....always good!
