You might want to add a bit to that price, lol.By the time you're done with everything don't be surprised if you're closer to $4,000 Canuck.I just did a Greene cam in mine a few months ago, with everything totalled up from new Hellcat lifters/Stanke MDS block off plugs/gaskets etc,it was a lot closer to 4G then I liked.I had 40,000 clics on my truck,so I didn't bother doing chain or oil pump, but if you plan on doing those to,you'll be over 4G Canuck.
If you haven't read Kurtis's how-to,it's a good read.He has most of what you'll need to buy listed in his write-up. I already had the Mopar tie bars, they're not neccesarily needed, but they do offer piece of mind, and if you're going with a higher rpm style cam, probably worth having.Stanke also has tie bars /beautiful billet MDS block-off plugs /lock collars for the rockers etc.

Depending on blower,10K isn't even gonna be close ,lol. Young Josh in Lethbridge found a used Edelbrock blower and he's still into his set-up for the tune of about 9K Canuck.Tach Tech is also Lethbridge based, but he's never said what his Whipple set-up cost him,but i'd guess he's into it for around 12K or more.Kurtis/Charonblk is Calgary based with a Pro Charger and i'm guessing Kurtis has probably closer to 15K into his.Nothings cheap in Canada, lol.Nitrous is your best bang for buck, you can do a cheap Zex kit for about 2500 with bottle heater/pressure gauge etc.,if you go with a progressive controller it'll be closer to 3K though. You can buy a ****load of nitrous for the cost of a blower, lol. My 4X4 still holds the fastest time slip in western Canada at 12.2 with just a 75 shot of nitrous.I'm in Airdrie and my truck lives at Castrol on Friday nights in the summer.Remember these are USD prices, lol. Remember these are just starting prices, with a blower install you're always going to have extra costs involved before the truck is actually ready to drive.

As you can see a nitrous kit is way cheaper, lol

Who do you plan on tuning it.I'd recommend finding a tuner who's good with HP tuning,i'd avoid Diablo with your 14,as it'***** or miss on tranny tuning on the 13 and 14 8 speeds.HP is a better tuning platform and they do support the 13/14 8 speeds.Look up Player 3 tuning in Edmonton if you want somebody semi local, who's got a fair bit of experience tuning the late model hemi trucks,Jay Greene is pretty decent to,but he's not all that local being Texas based.

If you're looking for a cam that thumps at idle, check out Jay Greene's line of thump cams. They'll give you the idle you're looking for, lol. Twisted Wrenches in Edmonton was a dealer for Jay's cams when Dylan Wagoner was still their head tech,he's since left them,so i'm not sure if they still are,but worth hunting them up and asking them.

Those prices are mental. We get hosed in Canada.
Rick $4000 for a proper cam- ouch!!

I talked to Davenport about a blower last winter, $13,500 (on sale) installed and tuned.

For that money I can get a different vehicle that would be much more fun than a half ton......

Gotta pay to play unfortunately if it was cheap and easy everyone would do it.

It is until somebody else posts a quicker time slip ,lol. Tach Techs truck should give me a run for the numbers though, lol. Charonblk is putting together a high dollar /high boost 6.4 BG based 426 for his truck, which should be the truck to beat next year if he gets it together this winter

Why hellcat lifters? Solid rollers or do a better job at keeping from rotating & wiping out the cam?

Cost.

Hellcat lifters are cheaper and a drop in replacement for the mds lifters. Plus they are already tested for you with 707+ hp on tap.

The lifters are captured, they can't turn sideways,if that's what you're implying by them rotating and wiping out the cam.As Red said cost, they're a fairly high quality lifter more then capable of handling my 6600 rpm shifts, and relatively cost effective as far as hypo lifters go.You can go with something like a Johnson high lift lifter,if you're budget will handle them.
