I hate to ask this question, nut is there a difference in the driver side and passenger side heads.

Just bought new ones for my truck and am stumped. Just got off work and it's making feel feel stupid.

I know there's a difference in intake and exhaust ports. Just not sure if it matters which is on driver or passenger

Yes. They are specific to each side of the block

Same here... Glad you asked, and you didn't learn a hard lesson like I did when you went to bolt on your exhaust headers...

Yep. Got those right. Heads are on. Been raining all day today so going to torque them down in the morning.

Can you really get them backwards?

Isn't there a locating dowel?

Sorry if these questions seem stupid. Haven't had to get into one of these (and hopefully never have to).

Yes you can install them backwards and on the opposite side. The dowel pins are in the same spot on each cylinder head so they will bolt up. As long as you verify that you have the EGR pad facing forward on the right (passenger) side and the accessory bolt holes facing forward on the left (driver) side you are installing them correctly.
