Being retired and along with being bored the last few days I decided to take the truck for a drive in a nice snow storm with the temps sitting a 0F. I went a hour west of town and thought what a great day to climb a mountain (with the truck), the snow averaged 1foot up to 1 1/2 feet deep and only once did I have to rock the truck which required me doing this twice to get unstuck. Don't ask but a camper that was stuck at the bottom along with an Astro van impeded my progress hence the coming to a stop and then the stuck situation happened.
Anywho after much fun along with a couple of nice pics I headed back to town and this is were the lame brain came into being. I turned of the 4wd a mile or two from home which ended up costing me. I hit a patch of black ice rounding a corner and boom the front end of the truck hit a sign post and knocked it down to a 60 degree angle. If only I had another foot tops I would have avoided the cracked (6") spoiler and a slight dent/blemish on the bumper. I have an appointment on my birthday to get an estimate but I expect it will cost between 1k-2k to repair this small bump. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh I will again not use insurance as the damage is so small.
