I'd like to get the DiamondBack Cover for my truck but I am torn between the black or the plain one. My truck is Granite Crystal and I am afraid that all that silver on the back may be too much, but it's about $300 more for the Line-X coating. Opinions on which one would look better. How much would it cost to get Line-X after getting it or just dip it?

Here is a pic of my truck.

Not a close call, get the black. But you can get the Diamond plate one and use Monsta Liner instead of LineX, save mola and you will have extra if you need bedliner on anything else. Because Monsta is activated, it is much more durable then that herculiner cr*p and looks great as well. Have you decided on which cover you are going to get? I'd spend a little extra and get the one you can put a load on, I love those DB covers The heavy duty is the only cover that you can jump on that I know of. You can park two atv's on that as well, and then still use the bed below. You don't have to get the atv cover, just consider the HD one that allows heavy weight up there.

If you opt for Monsta, let me know and I will go into detail some tips, I used it and love it. Nothing is as good as LineX, but Monsta is very close in quality, and because it wont get heavy use, you don't need linex up there.

This was my last monsta project.

I really want the HD version but I have to convince my wife of that. She keeps saying when are you going to put that much weight on that, I'm just saying you never know when it would come in handy.

How would you describe the texture of the Monstaliner? Is it slippery like a plastic or rubbery. Is the finish shiney or matte? I was leaning toward getting it in silver and tossing on the truck to see how I liked it then if I hated it applying something on there to make it black. I have been leaning toward black. A buddy of mine has the 270 with Line-X coating from the factory but it looks like coating is not smooth and chunks of Line-X in there seems to make it look sloppy. Maybe it was done on a Friday afternoon :)

Monsta is towards the Satin side of matte, as it dusts from wear and sits in sun it naturally goes tawords matte. The coolest thing about it is the texture, because there are no chunks in the product (unless you add them which I do not recommend) the brush makes the texture. When you add the activator to Monsta liner it starts thickening and starts to harden, don't worry you have plenty of time to get it on. Then with their roller brush you roll it on. Check your PM.

I'll second Burla with the recommendation for Monstaliner! They also have a ton of different colors, and I believe a tintable one, so you aren't limited to black.

I put it in a stretched '72 Bronco I built, it was super easy to install and very durable! Also, if you somehow do chip it, they sell touch up kits and it adheres/blends seamlessly to the existing liner with basically no prep. [emoji106]

It's pretty shiny at first, but does turn satin over time...
