I was programing a new key from Amazon to my 2010 ram sport key worked fine and then stopped working I reread the instructions on alpha obd and reset the elv now my car has a b2254 code and won't run for longer than 2 seconds with either the aftermarket or factory key

I wouldn't assume that you "bricked" it right off the rip.

It would be be more plausible that the new key did not program correctly. The reason it will not stay running is because the PCM and the WCM do not have the key data that is required.

I would attempt to delete all of the keys, reset the WCM and then attempt to reprogram the keys again.

If this doesn't work I would get a new, quality key from Mopar or a Mopar supplier and start there.

From what I have read:
In a Ram 1500, ELV typically refers to the Electronic Steering Column Lock (or ESCL). This is a security feature that locks the steering wheel when the truck is parked and the key is removed to prevent theft. [2]

Symptoms of ELV Failure
If the ELV module or motor fails, you will likely experience the following issues:
  • Won't Start: Even if your key fob is functioning perfectly, the truck will not start because the steering lock prevents the ignition from engaging.
  • No Steering Wheel Movement: The wheel will remain rigidly locked in place.
  • Security/Dashboard Warning: You may see a "Service Steering System" message or an anti-theft dashboard light. [1, 2]

How to Fix an ELV Failure
When the dealership replaces a failed steering lock module, it can be very time-consuming and expensive. Common solutions include: [1]
  1. Module Replacement: Replacing the physical steering lock motor or module.
  2. Using an Emulator: Many Ram owners bypass the mechanical failure entirely by using an ESL/ELV Steering Lock Emulator. These plug-and-play devices simulate a properly functioning steering lock, allowing the truck's computer to let the vehicle start without needing the mechanical lock to engage. [1, 2, 3]

There is an ELV emulator / reset available.

Do a google search for the ELV reset and there are tons of posts about it.

Old key the buttons on the internal board move around and then will randomly start unlocking the truck and multi times would unlock and then hold unlock rolling my windows down as it was raining the new key worked for about 3 -4 hours and then it wouldn't use any of the remote features when using alfaobd I misread the instructions and reset and elv system that my car doesn't have from what I can tell I need to replace the wcm now because I have tried resetting it and then reprograming the pin back to it with no success

I appreciate the help but what seems to have happened is my truck didn't have elv when I reset it and caused the wcn to be damaged i have tried to reset multiple times but no success

A bit of punctuation and a few line breaks would make your posts a bit easier to read.

Did you create a baseline configuration backup before tweaking?

Or keep any detailed records of what was tweaked?

It sounds like you have painted yourself into a corner.

Can you follow Burla's instructions and bypass the WIN module?

You may have to rely on finding someone else's same model backup files for a 2010 truck.

FYI, I always back up the config files, both the hex and English versions, after every tweak.

And I will also be doing that for anything I do in the future and am I reliant on finding an original code to follow to my knowledge I could just purchase a new wcn and then learn the pin from ecm to it then program keys to that and that should also fix it?

To answer my own question no all I needed to do was replace the wcn
