Nothing to report so far, enginewise. The girl is running great. Hopefully, tomorrow I will get the catch can installed. I'm about 225 miles into my oil change.

The only issue now is my UConnect will randomly reboot. Maybe I have to do a reset or something.

Even wilder to me is that for 5-1/2+ months, my negative battery terminal was disconnected, and I still had all my radio presets, there must be a supercapacitor or something in the system.

I used to disconnect the batteries in both the truck and Challengers all winter, not once did they lose the radio presets, used to have to reset the heater controls and radio amp,and on the 1320 reset the drag modes,as they'd revert back to the default setting, but that was about all that ever needed resetting

Yeah, the modern radios are pretty cool with their built in memory that doesn't rely on the constant 12V. We had a 2004 Sport Trac that sat dormant for 3 1/2 years that had a Kenwood head unit that I had installed in it. That thing sat with a dead battery for a good 3 years waiting for me to revive it. Once we dropped a new battery in it, the wife was blown away to see that all of her radio presets were still there.

Gave the girl a bath and a quick wax. I got various paint issues I need to address at some point, normal stuff.

Installed the catch can. I still could not get the supplied hose under the dress rings. Used the heater hose I had for the very short-term.

I have the original line in the truck, just in case I spot an issue.

So far, so good.

For 200K the ole girl still looks very good Ed. When it's at full operating temp, and running try squeezing the hoses,if they still have decent resistance to being squeezed when hot with a vacumn on them, they'll be perfectly fine to use as interm hoses

Will do, am off work today, so I had time.

The girl isn't too bad, shes got a good scratch on the rear drivers door from me being a dumba$$, and a few dings and such from life.

I will run her to pick up a script for the MIL in a bit

BTW, Rick, it's mid-70's as you read this. Come on down!

Looks Mint, well but for that tiny ding you say, like new now inside and out, great work ED.

I love white trucks, I had a white bronco and loved that too except for OJ. At the time I drove less the 50 miles where that happened, I got looks all the time. Favorite vehicle ever a 93 white Bronco showroom floor, we called white trucks white Mafia if you ever hear that you will know why. White trucks a group within the group.

The best thing about a white vehicle,is they don't show the dirt or scratches as bad as other colours do :waytogo:
According to my relatives in the car business, white also has the best resale value.

Got a chance to run her on the interstate, she got to 212° for a bit.

Found out that now my rear windows do not work from any control, thoughts?

Did you accidentally trip the widow lockout button and haven't noticed it?

View attachment 575679
Nope, it has no effect.

Must be a byproduct of sitting so long, I havent looked to see if there's another circuit feeding it, but I don't think so.

The rear slider doesn't work also.

The only plugs I disconnected were the 2 on the pcm, and the big one by the passenger side fender.

No biggie either way, It will be something stupid, I'm sure.....lol

Not sure if your scan tool has the ability or not, but if it is the type that scans all of the trucks individual modules, you'll get a code if the door control module or BCM has lost communication with each other. I seem to remember that on our trucks, the d/s door's switch panel is the "door control module" for all 4 doors.

No check engine light, but there may be a manufacturer specific code that can point in the right direction.

I'll have to check that out, Ken. I have not hooked my code reader up since I got it running with no CEL.

We are out of town, hopefully tomorrow I can check it. So glad she's running good, everything else is peanuts.

I am wiped out today, so not going to get a chance to look at those window circuits.

I did check my idle hours after a couple hours idling this week from the initial start-up and such.

Im coming up on my 500 mile oil change at 201,750 miles, I might extend it 250 miles so I can change it to the RedLine 5W-30/FE2 at an even 202k miles.

A little update:

Still no diagnosis on my rear window issue.

I did check my catch can (thank you again, @JHoward) , have approx. 500 miles on it. When I opened the ball valve, got about a tablespoon or two of oil out of it.

Figured I might see more in my can given the miles, but not sure what amount is normal.

Also, realized the can itself had come loose, a half-turn or so. Tightened it up, will check it further.
