search amazon or ebay for a seat belt insert. No belt, just a clip/male piece that your click in. Works fine for a couple bucks. Similar items:

Does your old dodge even have a ZF based 8spd transmission that has the auto-park feature? If not then there's no point. The ZF 8 spd trans are shift by wire, unlike the RFE transmissions which have a mechanical linkage. So I should reinstall the doors on my old dodge?
My recommendation...don't drink bleach and don't ingest horse pasteSome people need to be told not to use a match to check gasoline levels. Keeping stupid people alive isn't improving the gene pool any.
Blind spot or donut mirrors will allow you to see that line in the mirror..............Not saying you have to, just giving you an alternative.I have to set traffic cones approximately 50' apart
I am not about to latch a door or the seat belt to do that
If i keep my speed down to a slow walking pace, i can make it work, the transmission will not shift into park.
( i don't mean to infer that i am walking near the truck )
My Service Adviser wants me to be safe & he wants me to allow them to do a TSB, Recall, or whatever. It would force me to close the door & possibly use the seatbelt.
I have the feeling that he will take it upon himself to have the Tech do it in spite of my wishes & then tell me that the Tech misunderstood & that it can not be switched back.
I have to have my door open every time that i park the Ram in my parking spot.
If i park inches too far back, i would be blocking a side walk
If i park inches to far forward, i am partially blocking another tenants parking space.
The room is so short, is the reason that i could not buy a Crew Cab
When one of the other tenants needs to move in larger furniture, they ask me to move the Ram

My current neighbor gives me a bit of extra room, by parking off center

The cement line to the left of my Ram is the property line, anything over that line can be given a parking ticket
I have to see that line in the cement when parking, therefore my door is open

Yes, close the door.Occasionally around the house or in the hills I hop in and leave the door open to drive a short distance. Or should I say I did before I got my latest Ram. Now there's a safety feature that won't allow that. Any way to remedy that situation?
I am not sure if you have ever backed up an enclosed snowmobile trailer into a tight spot without tow mirrors but being able to look back out the door makes life a lot easier. The same for backing a boat trailer down a narrow boat ramp without dropping one of the trailer wheels off the side of the ramp under water. You can see this stuff when looking back out of an open door. Me personally, I can't see stuff like this well enough using a standard mirror.Buy a 3" seatbelt extender and leave it plugged in.
Usually the excuse for leaving the door open while trying to drive the truck is to see while backing up. Don't see the reason to leave to door open anytime a vehicle is moving, just an opportunity for the door to get damaged
I agree its good for stuff like that. On the flip side I suspect I would have backed my covered snowmobile trailer into something and/or backed a wheel of my boat trailer off the side of one of those narrow boat ramps several times over the years if I could not have looked back out of an open door while backing up. For the way I use a truck the cons of having it seem to outweigh the pros.I wish I had had the auto park on my '14 Longhorn last year! Backed my 5th wheel into storage unit, disconnected and pulled up. I needed to get out for something. Thought I put it in park, opened the door, jumped down and the rig started backing up. Before I could get up and get my foot on the brake the drivers door hit the bollard protecting the building and wrapped the door around so it was touching the front fender. (Cummins got sum torque!)
Yes, this would be a nightmare if you had auto park. People that make 'safety' rules such as requiring this autopark never think of the dangers created. Many times safety features and devices cause more hazards than they prevent. I go in a lot of industrial facilities and see this quite often.I have to set traffic cones approximately 50' apart

Well, the scenario you describe would never happen the way I use my truck but autopark is a PITA for me when I am trying to look backward out of an open door when backing up a snowmobile trailer or backing a boat trailer into the water. If I cannot defeat it, it definitely causes more safety hazards than it would ever prevent in my case.I could give to loads of cow manure whether someone gets hurt if they want drive with the door open, more concerned about the potential pointless damage to the truck.
Actually with auto-park on the truck works in your favor, just open the door and when you get out the truck will put itself in park saving you more time as your not having to shift into park. It's a win win..the door is safer and not having to shift to park is quicker than not closing the door. Plus not shifting into park only takes one hand to open the door.
Yeah, that works too.Not sure how fast you are thinking, but you can go forward and backward with the door open if you keep the brake pedal lightly pressed before moving. Brake won’t even be on. Works great for low speed movement. So I ride both brake and gas pedal at the same time when I’m doing this. But the brake is never on unless I press harder.
You know the best part about this thread is that none of us seem to know how to spell oPen.Occasionally around the house or in the hills I hop in and leave the door open to drive a short distance.
