I say a Chevy switch out 37”s for a set of Vet take offs and he gained 75Hp/and like 90FtQ

Those 37”s are going to rob you BLiND

Find a set of stock tires quick-

I'd rather see what numbers I'm running at daily than wasting money on some wheels and tires that I'd never use. I'd expect to take a hit with them, but that seems ridiculous lol. I can spin them no problem, I really doubt I'm running less than stock tq and hp lol

Tires make a huge difference, I think more than people realize. And not just the size but also the weight of the tire you have. Good thing for the OP is his mods will help offset the loss. 3.92s are also going to help him.

Thought I'd throw this in... One and only run since I've done my mods. Slightly uphill, 2wd launch with traction control off, half tank of gas, and I believe the tires had full traction. Let's not turn this into a debate about how tuners aren't accurate measurement devices. I don't expect this to be an accurate representation. ;)

I just noticed in the pic that it's in 4wd... I took this pic right after and put it in 2wd right before launch. I wonder if I really was in 2wd.

It might not be exact but it's probably within a second or two----:D:D Looking forward to the dyno.

We are ahead of schedule. Dyno is booked for this Friday @ 1. It made more sense for us to pay $125 each for an hour vs. $100 each for 3 pulls in an hour. Since I now have a full hour, I plan on running my hemifever engine and trans tune straight up, same tune with the clutch fan back on, no tune, and if the tuner cooperates and I can get them loaded quick enough, diablosport engine and trans tune 91 octane.

Do you know if they have an exhaust sniffer? That would be cool to have that in there when they do the pulls.

Can't to see the results. Take videos please!

Did a lot of research at work today. I'm going to go with 355. We will see!

From what i gathered by the post i referenced, guy made 450 hp with 37" tires. When he switched to stock tires, he made 525. If I were you, I would try to borrow a stock set of tires/wheels just to see if the tire size difference is true. You said you rented the dyno for 1 hour, so it would be nice to know both tire size HP numbers. Hopefuly the dyno tech guy uses the correct correction factor.
Hell im excited for you to run friday! Haha.

I believe it's true. It's heavier rotational mass. I think it's a matter of how much. I believe I've read that Matt from Moe's stated full bolt ons tend to push around 395 to the wheels, but I can't seem to recollect where I saw that. So I'm assuming 395 w/ stock tires and guessing at a 10% loss w/ the 37s. If anyone in the STL area wants to let me borrow a couple stock wheels, or 1 spare lol, I'll try it out.

In terms of the Dyno guys, my buddy said these are supposed to be some of the best Dyno tuners in the state, so they may have an idea at % loss.

Do you have heads, cam and ported intake manifold also? I see you mentioned full bolt ons.
