Day 1 Complete, here's how everything went.
Sunday night I checked in to my hotel just after midnight and some how by the grace of the all mighty fell right asleep. Monday morning (today as I type this) I woke up at 7, Had a crappy hotel breakfast and was picked up around 8:30ish by the dealership shuttle. The hour or so drive to Kellogg From Spokane was interesting for there was 4 other people purchasing new vehicles. Guess what, all Rams = )
As soon as I got to the dealership I saw my truck and it was awesome! I'm a little iffy on the Custom decal... I keep going back and forth I figure I'll decide to keep it or rip it off by the time I get back home. I don't want to leave it on for two long or it will show on my pant. Anyway, So I'm at the dealership for about 3 hours getting everything finished up. I've uploaded pictures above as most of you have seen and have included 2 more down below. Regrettably the truck had 50 miles on it when I picked it up and 5 hours on the engine... ?!?! "1 hour idle" & " 4 hours drive"... That makes me think they were smart about it and put it into drive while the Parking brake was on so they didn't run up the idle clock... Who knows. Also there was a few small scratches bairly visible that I had them buff out on the drive side rear door. No clue how they got that high up but they did. After I was done with all the inside stuff I spent probably a half hour familiarizing my self with all the new features, adjusting my mirrors and seats.
It has power... no doubt about it and it also, when given some gas, has a nice diesel sound. I logged 345.4 Miles today, 23.1 Average MPG @ 58 Average MPH in 5 hours and 56 minuets. There was quite a bit of construction slowing me down. My new truck likes to speed. I have to be careful not to go over 80. It drives like a dream very smooth and keeps giving you more when you want it. I don't realize how fast I'm going till i glance down. Terrain was mostly vallys and small grades. Tomorrow I'll be going through Yellowstone to get the trailer. Should have more exciting roads to travel. Alas tomorrow is going to be an early start so I'm off to bed.
