Just so everyone knows, I'll be doing a lot of trips to anchorage round drip approximately 580 miles, I've got a girlfriend who is currently residing there so I'll be reporting my average miles per gallon every trip. Fuelly hasn't exactly recovered from that 4k+ miles while pulling the trailer.

Also, yesterday I checked to see where my governor was set two. However I was unable to reach it for my truck topped out at 105.

Sorry for the blurry picture. I was keeping my eyes to the road.

How was your instantaneous fuel mileage at those speeds?

How were the different temperatures doing at 100+mph? Were they steadily climbing?

I also didn't check but based on my blurry picture they seem to be fine. Next chance I get I'll do another test and see what I'm getting.

Yes, without a doubt. If I'm traveling Highway speeds and don't get stuck in construction i could go about 650 miles. It's only about 560 round trip.

Its been several weeks since I've given more then a few seconds to post anything so as of now I have no new information to report, I've owned the vehicle for two months now and haven't had any issues besides the NAV that I mentioned in one of my earlier posts and my personal thought on the tranny not going into 8th gear when I think it should. My Fuel mileage has stayed steady over my past few trips to Anchorage and I don't feel the need to keep posting about the same results. Best I've gotten so far is still 27.6mpg.

If anything comes up I'll be sure to let y'all know, if anyone has questions I'm normally pretty good about getting back to y'all quickly.

also, I would like to note I have over 8,000 miles on my truck now... It's safe to say I do a lot of driving.

Skimmed through and man, great MPG numbers even when towing.
You have 3.55 vs 3.92, right?

Love the pictures too :D

Thanks fast,
I have the 3.55 I tried ordering the 3.92 when I pre-ordered the truck but they kicked it back saying it wasn't available with my configuration at that time. Now that I have my truck I'm quite happy with the 3.55.

I'd like to note that my last few trips to anchorage I have had a decrease in gas mileage. An average of 23. But I have been going 70 instead of 65. I will need to test this further to see if it's the speed, fuel, or the additives.

I'm very close to possibly trading in for an ED. I'm torn between max steel or deep cherry and I want a Longhorn

23 MPG is still amazing! Of course higher is better, but 23 is still something to be proud of :D

We will be carrying BlueSpark tuning box.
It's very popular with 3l ecodiesel Grand Cherokee crowd... so far it's getting good reviews from Ecodiesel Ram owners
Many have seen a slight bump in HP/TQ and MPG

I've obviously been trying to find options to get a bit more bump in all 3 for my possible trade in

Hey guys, I finally have some information on mileage for my DEF fluid! But... I don't like it. When I bought the truck it came with a "full tank" well, the meter was on full anyway. sense then I have drive just shy of 10,000 miles of which over 4,100 where with a trailer, you know the one. :)

When I filled up my DEF tank to... overflowing... last week it was the 3rd time I've added fluid but the first time I had completely filled it, so up until now I haven't been able to give a full report.

The first time put some fluid in was in Kellogg ID when I had an oil change at exactly 2000 miles. I was just over half a tank if memory serves. They put in 2 gallons which didn't fill it all the way but I hoped I'd have enough to last till me 10,000 mile service.

A few weeks after I got home from my long trip I ended up getting fairly low on DEF fluid yet again and bought 5 gallons, thinking I've got an 8 gallon tank, this should top me off! Alas, I was wrong. (Odometer read 5168 when I added those 5 gallons.

Last week, I was in Anchorage yet again and noticed that I was in the red zone, not knowing when Id be close to a store again that sold DEF I went ahead and picked up 7.5 gallons and added what Id estimate to be about 6.5 gallons. My Odometer read 9,556.

So that means as of right now I've gone through about 21.5 gallons of DEF fluid in under 10,000 miles. :flame:WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO 8 GALLONS FOR EVERY SERVICE?!?!:flame: (Servicing being every 10,000 miles) At the rate RAM mentioned I should be getting about 1,250 miles per gallon of DEF. but as it sits I'm getting about 444 miles per gallon.

I understand that the higher my RPM, the more fuel I use, thus the more DEF fluid required. So when I pulled that trailer I expected to see reduced longevity in my DEF tank. But even if we take the calculation of say... 6 gallons in 4,388 miles that still means I averaged 731 miles per gallon of DEF. (I took those figures from the second and last time I filled my truck with DEF)

Now I've gone about 350 miles from when I had literately overfilled my DEF tank and I can see that the DEF gauge in the dash is actually off "Full"and almost halfway between the next bar. Somethings got to be wrong or some ones lying to us (me)

In conclusion I am not happy with the amount of DEF Fluid I consume. Hopefully it'll be near my 20,000 mile service before I have to bring it up again, but with these numbers mentioned above I guesstimate it'll be closer to 15,000 miles. and to answer your question, No, I do not let my truck sit and Idle. The only other thing I can think of is the Quality of the DEF Fluid I've been buying being below the correct rate. In response to that I've now purchased from 3 different locations and the truck is supposed to be smart enough to know if the urea to water level is to low.

I would contact a dealer and inquire about any computer updates

I'm not sure if you mean I should.. or if I really shouldn't? But either way as of right now all my stuff is up to date. About 3 weeks ago I took my truck in for a stereo recall and they performed multiple updates.
