Some photos of the 2026 Ford F150 makes me think Ford is trying
to look more like the 1500 Ram. A little sleeker and better looking than before.
I suppose flattery is the best form of compliment.

Why not post a pic so I don't have to go off in searching for a look see comparison on the web ...

I thought you would be talking about their crazy dropping the lightening and copying the RAM charger with the hybrid with "huge" ranges. Ford has really made some bad moves lately, the big 3 will be the bid one soon = GM. f150 their only hope.

This week Ford officially dropped the F150 Lightening. They made a $19.5 write off because of the losses on their EV business.

(sarcasm don't) What are you talking about??
Just because they decided to pull the plug on probably the second most selling vehicle they make and drop $2B to renovate that plant to build a mid-sized EV pickup truck. That sounds like fantastic business leadership.

The Ford dealer near me in TN had 5 of them on the lot last year, along with the Mach 1 Mustang. They sat for a long time before being discounted enough that people would buy them. They said they would not order anymore unless they had a deposit.

How bout major oil companies taking BIG loses to get out of Crazy CA. One company taking a 1 Billion loss (allegedly) to leave. That is to me silly crazy, but than I would NOT reside in California in the first place.

What you think it sounds like versus what the investors think it sounds like are two different things. GM has exploded stock value something I would have never guessed, trading at 82 dollars a share, while Ford and stellantis are flirting with junk bond status trading at 13 and 11 per share. In the last 5 years GM is making a run at number 3 behind Toyota and tesla while the others are playing themselves off the field. To answer your question that is what I was referring to.

We have yet so see how the RAM charger or Fords version of it pans out. Hopefully they will succeed. Hopefully it wont be like the lightening debacle.

They're not playing themselves off the field, they realize Toyota has it right for legacy automotive manufacturers building EVs. The battery/charging technology and widespread adaption of BEVs is a minimum of 10-12 years away, that's a long time for investors to keep coughing up money for GM to play with. In the meantime something has to pay the bills and give people what they want to buy.
Until there is a BEV that can make a 200-300 mile road trip for a weekend getaway (leave Friday return Sunday) towing a travel trailer in any weather conditions without spending a good portion of that charging the vehicle, a range extended pickup will be the only viable option for those that actually use their trucks for more than pavement princess grocery getters.

I came to my 2018 Ram from a 2000 F150. I still like the styling of the older F-150s, and when I was looking for a new truck I drove Chevrolet and Ford, but not Toyota because of the high prices and very limited regular cab/ long bed options.

I immediately did not like the boxy styling of the Ford at all. I wanted another regular cab with 8 ft bed, and the regular cab in a 2018 Ford was tiny. Hardly any storage behind the seat and I really felt cramped in it.

I drove a regular cab Chevy, and kind of liked it, but it had big humps on the right and left side of the hood that obscured my vision. When I finally climbed into the Ram, it just felt like home, and I still love it. I'm a big fan of the Pentastar engine as well. My previous Ford had their V6, but this truck is much peppier and gets better mileage. Of course the 8-speed makes a huge difference.

The more Bev’s the higher the price of electricity. I am wondering how they will ever solve the situation of people that park on the street combined with charging time and the price of a used vehicle. Not to mention the high price of battery replacement and degradation. Meanwhile insurance companies are adjusting rates for repairs when a battery gets damaged.

As someone who owns an F100, this is their early year builds coming through and nothing to do with RAM

This looks more like a Chev.
The only front that Dodge had was in the 70 - 80's that I remember. My dad had a '75 150.
It is irrelevent.
In fashion, it is OK to revisit vintage design.
It is a Ford.
Who cares?
