When I get back to the states I plan on getting a 2011 or 2012 2500 (with a 6.7 of course). I have always wanted a diesel truck and it would be used for long drives as well as towing a boat that I currently own. My current Ranger pulls it fine, but a diesel will leave room for the option of getting a bigger boat. Also, I'm getting married in July and need a more family oriented vehicle other than my single cab Ranger.
To my question: I've been trying to figure out how the fuel system works. I keep reading that all trucks have a fuel filter on the driver side of the engine as well as one near the back of the truck next to the fuel tank? I'm wondering if the filter at the back of the truck is actually there and if so how hard is it to change? Also is the fuel filter next the engine a fuel AND water filter combination?
